My wife and I are leaving to officer training camp in march for the air force. I was told that wifi was limited due to government restrictions. Alot of people are suggesting buying devices that cost 60 dollars a month for 5gb of bandwidth or downloading applications for phones such as the iphone for tethering. Are there any other alternatives out there that anyone knows of.

Side note: I've been watching patrick norton back since the days of screen savers. Veronica is awesome, i'm planning on buying the year prescription to the qore from the ps3 partly because I'm a nerd and also because Veronica is on the show. With that being said what does everyone think of guest appearances from the people of screen savers, like leo.

For tethering I would ONLY recommend a Blackberry on Verizon.
Get an unlimited data plan, and you are ready to go with much better 3G coverage in all places that you are likely to be posted. Make sure its a BB Storm or Tour and you will have EVDO in the US, but still be able to roam on GSM on international posts.

Leo Laporte would make a great guest on Tekzilla.

Patrick Norton and Veronica Belmont have been guests on his podcasts.
