Contrary to what Robert said on the show, mobile DTV exists beyond Washington, DC. WRAL in Raleigh, NC, rolled out mobile DTV last spring. It is mainly used to broadcast WRAL to a captive audience on Raleigh city buses.

Local HD enthusiasts absolutely *HATE* mobile DTV, and you on HD Nation should hate it too. We hate it because it takes bandwidth away from WRAL's main CBS-HD subchannel on 5-1. The bitrate of 5-1 has dropped by about 2Mb/s (from 15.5Mb/s to 13.5Mb/s). Pixelization and macroblocking are evident in places where they weren't before (NFL games, college basketball, even primetime dramas look much softer, and panning is jerky). The people who care about quality are putting up bigger antennas and trying to pull in WFMY from the neighboring market.

Let's hope mobile DTV fails, and doesn't reduce other people's HD quality.

I for one am still not sold on this technology. Even if it is as good as they say, I don't want to have to wear/buy all the addons (3D glasses, 3D Blu-ray player, etc.) just to watch TV or movies! And what about the people who wear glasses already? And what about the "guests" who unexpectedly show up at your house? Am I gonna have to buy 10 pairs of 3D glasses for them? I haven't got a HD TV yet, but I really don't see myself even interested in 3D HD TV.

Also, lately when I try viewing any show in Revision3, I used to be able to click on HD quality and refresh the browser page (Firefox browser) to view in HD instead of High quality. Now I have to time it just right and click on the HD setting at the right time to view the show in HD quality, otherwise I have to refresh the page constantly until I click the HD setting at just the right timing. Is there a way I can start a Revision3 show in HD as the default? Or is there some extension to Firefox or Firefox itself that has caused this change? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah I can't see buying another HDTV to go 3D..not for around 5 years at the very least.

I looked for a way to set HD playback as default on here for awhile until I just started downloading the MP4 30fps 720p versions of shows and just watch them with VLC on my 42" HDTV full screen..except the Tekzilla daily and short ones like that I just watch with my browser...

I may have to go that route if I don't hear anything soon from Revision3 support. I wish they did have where you could set defaults on their browser player. It would be nice to start episodes in HD full widescreen mode (Hint Hint to Revision3! LOL).

The Boxee Box only supporting HDMI (and the Popbox only supporting HD outputs) is reallly not getting the play it should be, especially with Avner's ""We discriminate against all things not HDMI" comment last month. Wouldn't you expect people who don't want to buy new TVs that they don't need (whether it's upgrading from SD to HD for both or older HD to newer HD for the Boxee Box) to be attracted to cable TV replacement devices since they'll save money? It doesn't make sense.
