Look guys first off let me start by saying how much I love the show, and how my opinions will not change anything because it is alex and kevin that run the shit with the other guys. However the last few episodes have been too drama filled for my likings. I understand you get drunk and accidentally slip out shit about your friends (the end of the last episode) . Mostly how Kevin might be tapping both lala and the chick from the suicide girls (god I hope you are man cause you deserve it. Damn they're fine) I'm not saying don't talk about chicks that are hot I'm just sick of alex teasing kevin about females he may or not be seeing in life, and kevin getting obviously annoyed or uncomfortable because he's on film.
Either way I'm still gonna end up watching it weekly cause it's diggnation, and I have an addiction.

First post in te new forum looks great, and good work.

I don't think that they should keep is totally out of the show. I found the stuff with Lala very entertaining to say the least... Just as long as it doesn't take over the show or something.

I like it when they get into how things are for them in life and how things are going on with them. I don't think Kevin is seriously annoyed, and I think that they're just playing around. Kevin wouldn't reciprocate at all if he didn't find it entertaining to. Then it'd be one hell of a hateful show.

I like finding out what is happening in their life; I see it as part of the show [it demonstrates they are just 'normal' guys]. They are in an informal setting hosting the show, drinking beer, chatting and having a good time.

It's there show, there life, I don't see why it bothers you so much either way. It's fun to know whats going on with them besides digg and diggnation and such. Leave it be, how it is, is great!

While I don't want constant updates on they guys' love lives, having closure on the Lala thing was totally necessary. I mean, he can't ask her out on an episode and then drop the whole thing! Now that we know, though, I don't see as how it's necessary to bring it up anymore.

At least until Alex asks Heather to marry him on an episode... we're going to need closure on that one too. :p Shoe, meet the other foot!

I like Diggnation just the way it is. I consider it more of a show with two guys drinking rather then a show about tech... I like it better and that's why I watch dl.tv and Diggnation.

Agreed. I don't care what they talk about as long as it's entertaining.

My favorite part is them getting off topic...

The "drama" is what it's all about.

The reason I watch diggnation is because of Alex and Kevin's peronalities, not for the top stories on Digg.

The "drama" is all just a part of "keeping it real".

I don't have a problem with the way it is now. Of course, the more they drink, the funnier they are.

When someone becomes visibly uncomfortable, that's when it ceases to be amusing. Light-hearted banter about personal things with both enjoying it is fine, but when it's starting to cause discomfort, it would be better to back off. I've been to busy to watch ep.65, which is on my agenda for today, but from what I've heard, Kevin was not very comfortable, which means that TMI was being told, or that he was concerned TMI might be. If he doesn't want to willingly go into it, Alex shouldn't either.

When a camera is on you, you've got few choices. Try to steer the conversation elsewhere or let it go where it will. Who would really enjoy seeing Kevin snap at Alex and tell him he doesn't want to talk about it? Whoa, conflict being dealt with on film. Suddenly the show is serious. Yes, it's real, but sometimes people have things going on that they'd rather not discuss with the whole world.

OK, no joke here, maybe I'm just an oblivious guy...

But, are you guys just speaking in hypotheticals, or did I totally miss something on the show? Because, I mean, I don't think anyone has said anything out of line about Kev and Lala...

Help me out. I know nothing!

I must be as oblivious as you are because I don't notice anything, either. Someone may have to point it out to me.

100% agree, this thread should now be closed, cause it could just keep on going and going, in circles.

That's what makes diggnation such a great show... its like watching your pals just sitting down, having a beer, and talking.

Would you rather have them read off a teleprompter?

The drama adds spice to the otherwise somewhat dry topic of the most dugg stories of the week to be honest. The more they can incorporate the headlines into their daily life the better imho.

I think that at the end of each episode they should have a Kevin Rose Poon-O-Meter or Hook Up-O-Tron to keep track of how many girls he got with through the week. That way there is not as much drama but people still know what going on with him. Then everyone would be happy.

I'm pretty sure that Kevin is too busy for all of that. Besides, I'm pretty positive that a) he wouldn't want to share that information, and b) that it probably too much information that we need to know.

What is everybody talking about? Like the other two, i didnt notice anything. I have said it before, If i was "tapping" someone as hot as Lala. I would say it every episode. So i say Kevin needs to be a man and own up. If he is ever called out on it.

I'm with the other three. What drama? What Kevin discomfort? The only thing I can think of was Alex asking why Kevin might have to go to the Opera, but Kevin brought that up.
If Kevin is hooking up with Lala I hope it will lead to more funny Kevin on planes stories. They can talk about which anti-anxiety drug Kevin takes for each trip to Vancover.

Dont you mean "i thought this thread ended a long time ago?" On that note, you do know by replying your just keeping the thread going? If you dont like the thread so much, why are you still reading it and posting a reply?

Well! When Kevin interupts the show to answer a call from Lala or some other chick then he opened the can of worms himself. By answering the phone during the taping he allowed the subject to be brought up.

Opening a can of worms does not need to become messy. Maybe not cool to answer during taping, but also not cool to harp on it.

Lala is wow, so talking about her is cool.

I know it sounds lame, but I think it's nice to hear whats going on in their personal lives during the parts when the end up WAYYYY off topic.

If Kevin thinks something is over the line they can edit it out. The personal stuff is fun to hear. I am not sure how happy Dan was that they mentioned that his girlfriend was a no show at the party but he hooked up with someone else. Or when they mentioned the Go Daddy girl hitting on one of them and may or may not be married anymore. It's all gravy. Some weeks the Digg stories are pretty lame, the fact that it doesn't matter shows what great hosts they are.

Well! When Kevin interupts the show to answer a call from Lala or some other chick then he opened the can of worms himself. By answering the phone during the taping he allowed the subject to be brought up.

I rewatched, and while I still think some things they need to be careful on, Kevin originally commented to Alex about just buying certain books. I feel like I'm talking behind their backs by saying this, and I'm saying it purely out of assumption, but as Kevin is getting all the attention, all the fame, the money, the glory, and Alex is falling by the wayside, bringing up anything to do with money could make the "lesser" person feel defensive. Kevin shouldn't have said that, shouldn't have answered the phone (the way he said, "hey!" was definitely more than casual), but Alex should have let Lala drop.

I'm sure that, at this point, they've resolved any problem there may or may not have been, so I suggest that this topic be dropped, as I thought it was until seeing it at the top again. There's no use rehashing it.
