Hi, I just recently switched to a Macbook and moved my music library to iTunes. The only problem I have is with the sound quality from the built-in speakers. I travel a lot and don't want to have to carry extra speakers or an amp. Are there any software programs that will help improve the sound quailty?

I assume you know to set the EQ to an appropriate setting for the type of music you are listening to. I don't know of any other way to improve the sound of the laptop speakers.

You can get a $30 pair of headphones like Sennheiser/Yamaha/Behringer/SkullCandy that will GREATLY improve the sound and/or a small cube speaker set from Bose or Cambridge SoundWorks. If the sound is important to you, it's worth carrying around the extra gear.

Well I've been searching on the web and found a software solution called SRS WoW and one called DPS Plug-In. Gonna try em both. If anyone is interested here are the links.

I came across this equalizer setting a while back and it sounds a lot better for the stuff I listen to. Hope it helps:
