Anyone out there buy MAG?
I played the first beta for a couple rounds, but didn't put any effort into learning the interface or anything. I thought it was just alright, but I didn't give it much of a chance, either. I almost didn't want to like it, but it wasn't really ever a thought that came to my mind, to actively dislike it. Anyhow..
So, I wasn't planning to buy it... but when the review copy showed up, something in me kept nagging to break it open. So, I decided to keep it and send my writer an email money transfer to buy his own copy, rather than ship it to him (which woulda taken longer anyhow). Gotta, say, I made a good choice.
I haven't played for very long, but it's already starting to suck me in. And I thought I hated online competitive shooters! It's different, though, because working as a team really does help immensely, almost a must. Mind you, I am still only playing in the 32 players vs 32 players suppression map, but after I level up again and unlock the resuscitation ability, I'll practice it a bunch and then start trying out the other modes, and eventually the 256-player battles.
So, I chose to join Raven... Seems a lot of people are joining S.V.E.R., and a few are joining Valor. If anyone here has it or is picking it up soon, and decides to join Raven, shoot me a friend request. I am not great, but I am having fun - much more than I thought I would.
With so many games coming out, I think I'm gonna maybe just not rush out to buy them all at once/on launch day, but rather only the ones I really must play immediately (ie: Heavy Rain, WKC, GoW3, etc), and play MAG as a break from them (or vice versa). I can pick up the other games later on, perhaps after a price drop or really good sale.
