If you like mellow music, time to start listening to Chillout.
Check out Zero 7 - The Garden.

I'm from the Caribbean, as for Reggae you can't go wrong with some classic Bob Marley, some Sean paul, Tony Matterhorn, Busy Signal, Junior Reid, Baby Cham.
As for Hip Hop, check out these albums:
Nas - Hip Hop is Dead
Paul Wall - People's Champ
Chamillionaire - Sound of Revenge
The Game - The Doctor's Advocate
Eminem presents The Re Up - VA
Obie Trice - Second Round's On Me
Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang
Snoop Dogg - The Blue Carpet Treatment
JayZ - Kingdom Come
I like rock but not metal or anything, mellow stuff would be like The Killers, Jet, Yellowcard, Greenday. Great albums.
Hope that helps a bit, and there are many more things worth getting if you're interested.

You say you like like that isnt to crazy heavy? Then try Neurosis or Isis. Or maybe Agents of Oblivion. It isnt that crap you hear on the radio and is definetly mellow type music. The best out of the doom metal genre has to be Cult of Luna.

If you end up liking Elliott Smith, you can also try Sufjan Stevens, Denison Witmer, or Rosie Thomas. All three of them (more so the latter two) have a laid back indie folk feel, if you want something mellow. If you want something mellow in a more electronic way, maybe try Air.

Is there a place where I can post my entire iTunes/Zune Library and then link people to that?

This (http://www.last.fm/user/AXiSds/) is a link to my Last.fm account. I would recommend anything I listen to of course.

I suggest you check out a band called Thursday. Not too heavy, they are kind of political. Also check out a band called Saosin.

Shpongle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shpongle) happens to be one of my favs..."Nothing Lasts, But Nothing Is Lost" is one of my favorite techno albums of all time.
If you're into even artsier stuff, try BT's "This Binary Universe (http://www.thisbinaryuniverse.com/)." Amazing, amazing album.
thanks man, i'll for sure check those out, I haven't gotten into any new techno.trance etc in awhile, its going to be good.

To anyone who likes the kinda mellowish rock sounds, check out my buddy's website. Hit up the downloads http://www.circuitriderstudios.com/downloads.htm
Also, his main band, Analog Moon, is pretty damn good. I think you can find the torrents of it around.
