APB on a Modest Mouse Track

OK, this may seem odd, but I was in my girlfriend's car the other day and I heard this alternate mix of "The Ocean Breathes Salty" by Modest Mouse. It was... really hard to describe but I'm going to try. It was like kind of a floaty/ranty/more ambient version of the song. I was wondering if anyone knows of it and knows a download point or if I'm just plain crazy.

Was it by Modest Mouse, or was it a remix by someone else?

There is a version of the song by Sun Kil Moon on an album called Tiny Cities. It was a tribute album to modest mouse. That might be it, check out iTunes.
Modest Mouse rocks though.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Maybe if the band members died or something, but they didn't so it's weird.
