Try begging on an IRC channel. That's how I finally got into Underground Gamer (http://www.underground-gamer.com/).

I had to point them to another site where I had an extraordinarily high ratio to persuade them though.

i have like 3 Oink invites...but really, Oink isn't all it's cracked up to be...i got an invite from a long-time friend and i gotta say...the site kinda blows...i mean, why am i gonna download a torrent of music from a BT site where there are SOOOOOO many rules and you HAVE to keep your ratio up when i can just as easily get them from Limewire where i don't have to worry about any of those things

UG (http://www.underground-gamer.com/) doesn't have any qualifications that are too outlandish (you just need a 1.0+ ratio, etc.), but the fact that almost everything is supersaturated with seeders actually makes it kind of difficult to get a ratio that's deemed acceptable. You can check their FAQ (http://www.underground-gamer.com/wiki/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions) for the real specifics.

Nice call on the Andrew Bird, by the way. Seen him live a bunch, and he's been featured on RegnYouth (http://www.regnyouth.com/) several times. They also feature pretty good comedy albums regularly. You might want to check them out for your every need and desire.

yep. You know that the files are going to be high quality original rips. Not re-encoded crap files. I don't know how many times I've hit limewire or another non-bt p2p app and ended up getting really shitty quality music. Oink is a great site.

i know what u mean, about how hard it is to get a decent ratio with anything rare. Anything that is semi rare i has such an extreme seed to download ratio its not funny. i have a 5.4 share ratio overall but for specific trackers theres just no chance. I guess I'll just keep trying the irc's but if anyone has a free invite let me know.

its supposedly the ultimate bittorrent tracker for music and extremely exclusive, wouldnt know if its actually any good because I dont know anyone thats used it but if it lives up to its rep then itd be pretty bloody good

oh and just a side note id had a few drinks last night which is why my last post didnt make a whole lot of sense, not a good idea posting when drunk, its way too easy to say things you shouldnt and way too hard to take them back again

Agreed. It is really one of the best private music trackers. My only problem with it is that I have trouble getting my ratio up. I can't just leave it seeding 24/7 and unlike Torrent Damage, Oink doesn't move fast enough for me to jump on a fast torrent and ride the upload wave.
