Is A Nightmare on Elm Street a worthy remake, or does it fail the Rorschach test? Does Super Street Fighter IV punch, punch, kick the crap out of other fighting games? Early hands-on with Lost Planet 2 and Puzzle Quest 2! Plus, we Game with a Name with the director of one of our very favorite films, Best Worst Movie!

Watch or download this episode now! (http://revision3.com/trs/lavatar)

Great episode!! The Game with a Name segment was fantastic, I really want to see Best Worst Movie with all my friends. Although I haven't seen Troll 2, and I'm wondering if it's required viewing to get B.W.M.? My own recomendation for a bad movie is The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. Saw this with my friends, and it was pretty great.

That little dance Alex did and that really weird sound he made totally caught me off guard and I could not stop myself from laughing. Thank you Alex, I needed a good laugh! :D

Susan Bazarsky who worked on the original "nightmare on Elm Street" is a very interesting person.

Yay! It's TRS Tuesday!

Cool game. Why hasn't their been an app invented for buzzing in for trivia contests?

Loved the Godfather and Commando quotes.
Agree with Alex that Commando shouldn't be considered "bad". It's well done for what it is and a classic (imo). Cheesy - yes, but thatsa high quality cheeze!

For video game segment - loved the gameplay behind them while talking - love that the "KO" sync'd up with Jeff saying "HEY OHH!" Mike that had to be intentional :D. I guess I'd prefer that footage be playing the whole segment, but w/e.

Ice Pirates!!!1 - perfect that's my choice. My friends and I used to watch that over and over. PERFECT. Space Herpes ftw.

* I guess my favorite "best worst movie" experience is the Red Media "reviews" of the Start Trek/Wars movies Linky (http://www.youtube.com/user/RedLetterMedia) Can't recommend enough. It's equal parts brillian and painful as they are franchises which I LOVE. Tough love for nerds. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is on of my favs, but its kind of trying to be bad and yet is worse? Want to see Best Worst Movie ASAP.

Saw Best Worst Movie last week with a friend. He'd never seen Troll 2, and I've seen it several times. Both of us were laughing and smiling throughout the film, and we had plenty to talk about afterwards. I definitely don't think it is necessary to have seen Troll 2 beforehand, but it was nice to recognize the moments that are referenced.

I didn't much care for the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. I think it suffers because it is one of those movies that is bad on purpose. The magic really seems to happen when they think they are doing legitimately good work.

I agree with stubadub. I actually hadn't seen Troll 2 before seeing Best Worst Movie. Didn't hurt the experience, but it certainly made me want to rent Troll 2 with some friends!

Brannagh is not an action director? Ever see Henry V? :)

The above is a bit tongue in cheek, but I really give kudos to Brannagh for the battle sequences in Henry V, especially with the relatively low budget he had available. Green screen and CG may not be his forte, but I would think an actor/director experienced in the stage would be familiar working with little in the way of props and scenery.

He's gonna keep telling the cameraman, " now, we'll put the audience over here .....".

Ok, I have 4 of the best worst movies of all time.

Rockula - A vampire that becomes a rock star. Stars Tony Basil and Thomas Dolby!

Munchies- Alien gets discovered in old ruins by archeologist - he takes it home and it goes nuts. Pretty much a cheap Gremlins.

Cutting Class - A murderer is loose in a high school. Stars Brad Pitt.

Student Bodies - Another murderer in a high school setting. Said to be the first Horror parody movie.

Now that I'm thinking about this, I don't consider these to be really bad movies. I absolutely love them. Well maybe not Munchies. That one is pretty bad.

I could watch Rockula all the time if they would only release it on DVD. I know the rest of them can be found on Netflix.

I can totally see what you mean with Cadavra. It does fall flat a number of times. But I think this was one of the first "bad" movies my friends and I saw. I doubt it'll best anything like The Room, which I very much want to see. First heard about it on /filmcast. Cool to see it brought back up here.

Dan, please cut your hair. It's slowly turning into a very distracting mullet. Thank you.

I'm not sure why but once every blue moon there's an episode of TRS that my LG BD390 (streamed via Tversity) seems to refuse to play in the larger HD format. (no problems with other Rev3 shows) The last TRS episode that did this was the 80's flash back episode and now this latest one and I'm unsure why.

Only "fix" I've come up with has been to redownload the lower res version. (Tekzilla, HD Nation, and most episodes of TRS play fine in HD mp4)

Anyone else have an issue with the HD version of this episode?

Munchies taught me what Machu Pichu is. So the movie has educational merits.

One of the best days of my life was finding the Troll/Troll 2 double dvd in the $2 bin at the supermarket. The best $2 I've ever spent.

Best Worst Movie THE ROOM clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL_71IQQeeA)

No amount of clips can do this film justice. The whole film is full of thousands of little moments of awfulness.

A mindblowing movie. Troll 2 is not as good as this.

Every. EVERY. Every single scene in this movie will make you want to pause it, ask your friends wtf just happened, then laugh away!

It's a fucking masterpiece. It's the Citizen Kane of bad movies. THAT IS NOT HYPERBOLE.
