ok, I love this show and can't wait for each new episode... I've never been a cook, so this is exactly at my level too! Thank you, and I hope you are a huge success...
Several times I've wanted to share the show with some others, but I've been hesitant due to some of the language in the show. I'm not complaining, I'll watch no matter what; I love it, but if the show was at least PG, I'd be able to share it with a lot more people and I think it'd still be the same show and just as good...
I love how Film Riot handles colorful language; check them out if you're interested. I don't know if Ryan Connolly handles it how he does for the same reason I mentioned or if it's for another reason, but it works well I think.
Anyways, I'm not telling you what to do, but I thought I'd share that just in case the thought hadn't crossed your mind.

FoodMob is recorded in Ireland.
While the word "fuck" has the same meaning the world over (hey, its and old word and has done some traveling), the cultural sensitivity to the word does vary.
Those from countries with a heavier commonwealth influence (sorry Niall, but I'm including the Republic of Ireland in this) tend t be less sensitive to the word than those established under puritanical sensibilities.
As an Australian, we tend to swear (cuss) a lot too. Bugger and crap are part of my daily vernacular. And I'll refer to someone as being a bit of a wanker.
The difference is that those terms in the English language, as opposed to the American variation of the English language are not deemed to be offensive. Indeed the Australian high court recently determined that calling a police office a prick was not verbal assault.
So, I think the problem is not Niall's use of language, but possibly your cultural sensitivity to the English language as spoken by an Irishman.
I would have no problem recommending the videos to others. If the language offends you, or is likely to offend those you are passing it on to, I'd suggest you pass it on with a disclaimer such as "These are great cooking videos - the host does cuss a little more than we are used to but don't let that distract you from some great recipes."
If it is children you are afraid will be offended, tell them that "People in different parts of the world use words differently to the way we do here. Just because you hear the word in a video or on TV does not mean its OK to use that word when you are talking."
You hear worse language in a school yard or dining in a family restaurant, so I don't think Niall really has anything to apologise for or change.

See this is where I may not have a good voice. I don't get offended. EVER!
You can walk up to me and call me the worst thing ever, and I will say, "What is that all?" and come back with worse insults for myself than you could handle.
But, All I can say is, does it ruin what you are taught. Do you cook worse than before 'cause Niall said the "F" word?
Not only that but......I dunno, just get the "F" over it. C'mon, aren't we adults?
Just cook and be happy!

I'm not disagreeing with either of you guys above...
I don't get offended by swearing at all... I do have 3 kids ranging from 2 months to 6 years and I actually wouldn't let them watch it nor do I swear. I used to; alot, but I got married, had kids and stopped doing it. If you and I were talking and you swore, it wouldn't phase me... if you and I were talking and my 6 year old daughter were there and you swore I would slap you. haha
I am married to an Australian and we visit about every two years so I am aware that sensitivity to it varies and that this show would be perfectly fine to air on public TV in Oz.
But my point is that sensitivity to it does vary. And I was just throwing it out there as a thought in case Chef Niall hadn't considered that point. I don't expect an apology nor was I asking him to change, in fact I stated that I was not trying to tell him what to do or how to run his show. I just wanted him to know that there is a potential to increase his audience simply by altering maybe at most 2 words per episode. And he would not at all take anything away from the show by doing so.
Either way, I love the show, it's perfect for my cooking skill level and I'll continue to watch every episode as long as it's teaching me something -- after the kids are in bed.
Again, I like how Ryan Connolly handles it on Film Riot!
I'm just giving constructive criticism in an attempt to help. I want the show to be a huge success!

Well, when I watched the episode, I kind of laughed. It seemed like he struggled with it the first time, almost like he caught himself but it slipped out anyways. The second time, I got the impression that one already slipped, so whatever it doesn't matter now.
That's the impression I got.
