1 Error on the Video

The introduction music of the video had Diggnation #80 instead of #81 at the end.

I just want to say that the "Sony to cease hawking monitors" issue was posted on Oct 9th 2006. I'm sure you guys know already but it was just kinda weird hearing a hold engadget story.

Nice show, not a lot of really gut-busting material, but in the LG vs Apple iPhone look-a-like debacle I am siding with Alex on this one, but I also think Kevin's argument about what is in the OS is a valid point. But I'm still getting one, and I'm going to see if someone can hack it to allow any provider on the phone (I use t-mobile). Nevertheless great show!

Yeah, I was a bit surprised when I saw that they shot the day after Episode 80. I gotta say though, the change of pitch in Alex's voice was extremely evident in the iPhone - LG phone argument.

I would agree with Kevin as a lot of phones look almost identical... but I don't agree with him. I would if it wasn't for the fact that Apple is marketing it as a revolutionary phone and the fact that it was JUST announced. It's not been long enough for copycats to begin appearing.

Probably filmed it the day after MacWorld since Alex was already in SF, probably a little easier for him!

I must admit, I was hoping my Dan Huard-No Pants story would make it, well since it was filmed early, I still have high hopes that it'll be on there next week! =)

Alex seemed to like the function in Vista which gave you the ability to quickly launch apps from the startmenu. He and you all might want to have a look at Launchy (http://www.launchy.net/) as it does pretty much the exact same for you XP-users out there :)

Good show, loved how Kevin was in some sort of denial about similar looks of the phones from LG and Apple :)

In the Sealand article the Pirate Bay was not mentioned ... is that for legal reasons ? I haven't watched diggnation for a while but i remember Kevin and Alex both proudly talking about being pirates themselves a while back .. is this kind of conversation now banned ?

Also .. was Kevin's t-shirt a 45 minute ad for google or was that the only clean t-shirt in the house ?
