C'mon Kevin! Grousing about someone leaking info about iPhone? I remember back in the day when Kevin loved to leak details about the latest ipod and iphone.

I guess his sources were fired long ago...

Totally agree with Alex on PC gaming. I'm not much of a gamer anymore but after many years of being used to a PC, I bought an Xbox and hated everything about it - the poor build quality, the weird controller, the locked-down options, the buggy interface, the proprietary connectors, etc. Not to mention the cost - felt like I had been ripped off on the console, the accessories, the games... and then I had to pay a subscription just to play with my friends on the damn thing?! Glad to be rid, PC FTW.

Alex @3:36 - Turning a refrigerator's temperature down will cost more money!

Poor Kevin, sounds like he's been (insert naughty word) whipped. He has to "sneak" ice cream so the sugar Nazi girl friend won't get upset.
At least she still "lets" him drink beer!

First most people don't understand how friges work so they dont care...

I personally like computer gaming over xbox etc but there is nothing wrong with the xbox and by the time its done your paying much more on PC than on xbox.

I don't think its her but him. I am at the point of stop watching the show because of him and his crap about food every week. He has gone off in the deep end and want to watch the real diggnation and not some f'ing Hi I am Kevin and I am the CEO so I can complain about food. You can see its has to be wearing thin on Alex because he isn't looking happy about it anymore.

Fact is you can eat anything your body wont puke and you can eat all the cool stuff as long as you only do it every so often. His BS views on how cows and chickens are raised is BS. They are not all packed into boxes and raised or pumped full of the same meds you take.

Stop preaching about these films and books that are all the same and what you can't understand they are also made by or printed by the same people who own money in fast food or stores like trader joes etc..

The constant upgrades so you could keep playing the latest releases was pissing me off. It got to the point where it literally drove me away from gaming totally.

It was only because of consoles (Xbox - original, chipped, and PS3) that I got back into gaming. The platform remains constant, the upgrade cycles were broken. Games are still great. I am not a hardcore gamer any more. Definitely fall into the social/casual mould now.

yep if your not going to strip to nothing meaning going with xp and going o black viper and seeing his min you need to boot and then tweak everything just right you will be upgrading all the time... even playing something like star wars galaxies..

The thing is, you can buy a fancy computer once, and do tons of modern things very well (let's face it, even though you have a console you STILL own a PC).. you're now separating your budget.

All you have to do is invest a decent amount of money into a computer that will last you a few years. People have this weird notion that you have to run every game at max settings or else the computer is obsolete. Look at your Xbox360... No antialiasing, and now, being.. 4? years down the line, the graphics department can't really compete. If you bought a PC that lets you run modern games on the same settings that your 360 runs, it wouldn't cost you as much as you think. The problem is, when you get a PC you start cranking the settings, and things start running badly. But at least you have the option to try. Anti-aliasing is the single biggest performance hit in games. That's why consoles don't use it.

when the next generation comes out, let's hope you don't get screwed on backwards compatibility. On the PC, I can play any of the games I own, whenever I want. And when I replace my PC, I can still play all the same games.

I don't have a modern console, but a few of my friends have 360's... I always was kind of sad when they got exclusives that didn't come to PC... but I'm borrowing a friend's while he's going abroad and I have to say... It makes me happy I don't own one. It's slow, loud, and extremely restricted on functionality.

Alex its subway or any other type...

hell most normal fast food has stuff healthy so you can go there.

still doesn't matter because its all biased on your genes and how much you move.

Before I broke my back I was eating 7 to 12k cals a day at places like AMPM etc. I was pretty skinny back then and could lift a motor out of my mazda truck by hand. Things have changed and I can not eat like that anymore.

btw all my test then and now all fine....

The only reason I blamed the gf is because of the food blog she writes. It's a bit on the fringe even for someone like myself.

I grew up in Ashland, Oregon; which by the way makes San Francisco look like a Bible thumping convention for right wing nut ultra conservative wackos. Because of this influence I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. For years I have followed the eat local, organic, renewable resource food mantra. But, I do have to agree, on the show, it is getting to be just a bit much.

I married a Texan, whose mantra is, "If it moves, shoot it and serve it for dinner!" I wouldn't dream of not fixing him slabs of dead cow and chicken for supper. Just like he wouldn't hide my hummus from me!

It just seems like Diggnation has become platform for her views and Kevin has been reduced to the mouthpiece. I miss the debauchery of the older shows. Drop the leash!

I like computer gaming because, well, the games don't take as much skill. At least the one I play doesn't lol! I have no problem tearing through quests in World of Warcraft. But stick me on Halo (oh gawd the flood) or one of those Tom Clancy shooter games (I've been pinned down in a Chinese restaurant for almost 2 years in Rainbow 6 Vegas) and I'm a complete disaster.

At our house, when the hubby isn't home, the xbox is used exclusively for watching movies on Netflix.

I can't believe Alex of all people didn't mention MMOs in the PC gaming segment (other than a mumble of Star Wars Old Republic under his breath).

PC gaming will never die until consoles can do MMOs properly (which I don't see happening any time soon).

Im surprised no one has mentioned the fact that kevin isnt sporting the droid anymore, and instead quickly flashed his busted iphone.

*tinfoihat* kevin getting paid lots of money to "switch" to droid, then back to an iphone because "omg its just so much better."

But on a more serious note about the whole food issue.. Anything in moderation. Alex is totally right on about McDonalds. I also had a blast there growing up eating bad food... SOMETIMES. You see when I grew up, my famly ate home cooked meals together and my mother was big on nutrition so she passed the good habits down to me. Did we eat junk sometimes? Hell yeh we did, its what makes life worth living. However this is the same thing with anything from food to drugs, alcohol, just about anything - anything in moderation. I appreciate Kevin's zealousness about the food situation in schools and so forth - thats warranted. But to go as far as saying you shouldn't EVER eat/do/whatever this or that.. is a bit too far. And hey, this is coming from the same guys who knock back god knows how many beers each epiosde.. how about you count those calories from that, guys? :)

And you know this how? Cause he showed that he still had his iPhone? I dunno if you missed it but he didn't switch brands he said he got a droid because he cracked the iPhone and wanted a phone that could make phone calls so he signed up with Verizon and got that phone.

Am I the only one slightly annoyed that Glenn and Prager
do not get mic'd for the show?

It's gotten inevitable that they will contribute
and hard as we try it is difficult to hear what they are saying sometimes.

Mic them and while you are at it
grab a few obscure stories from digg once in a while.

When Glenn said "Close the Door", I'm sure he meant to say "Shut the Front Door" which is a polite way of saying "Shut the Fuck Up".

I agree. Mic Glenn and Prager.

huh? my best friends father runs a farm VERY similar to the unfortunate way some are depicted in these "propaganda films" you referred to. are you seriously saying that it's all bullshit? & there aren't farms that give their animals growth hormones/keep them inside w/o ever seeing light etc. i've seen it with my own eyes...propaganda films or not, it does exist.

so to sum it up: all these large food companies make sure their product is "top notch" & chemical/anything free JUST because they care so much about us?

No, I am saying that PETA painting all agribusiness as evil is wrong. Sensationalising one aspect of the business (the agrarian equivalent of a sweat shop) detracts from the farmers that are farming using traditional methods - and collectively I think you'll find more of them than the PETA variety.

As an elevator full of people takes less energy than the people climbing the stairs individually. Not quite.

A the contents of the fridge get cold and stay cold. There is also less "space" that need to be cooled. So the items in the fridge help maintain a constant temperature as they "buffer" fluctations in temp due to opening and closing the door - thus less energy needed to keep the fridge cold.

Redkin for Men makes pomades, waxes and puttys that allow you to shape your hair more easily. The majority of people's hair will style better the day after washing because the natural oils have been replenished. It almost seems redundant to wash your hair and then apply a product that "gunks" it back up. But, at least this way, your hair smells nice and it is a bit more manageable.

Redkin products are available at beauty supply stores and hair stylists. If you'd rather go the grocery store route, Bed Head has numerous products that are quite good and they smell great too!
Hope that helps.

oh I didn't know this info.... I don't keep up on his love life lol...

I know a lot of people who want to eat green and most end up not eating right. First off if you need pills on any way that you eat then your doing something wrong.

I understand why people do not eat fastfood or normal store meat but there is ways to get good beef you can trust and not have to worry about it. Fact is humans have been eating meat since the start of time and it doesn't just take a few years to move us away from meat eating.

Your diet is just that yours and shouldn't be pushed on people. To use BS shows not worth paying netflix to send me is not my idea of thinking bigger. To each there own but the way of shock media to scare people in thinking all chickens are raised like that is how it works is BS. I know for a fact its not even close.

The show is becoming more and more him and hippie bashing meat eaters when they both look not healthy at all and one cant even shampoo his hair or seem to shower because thats healthy. I don't see Alex staying with this much longer since his other shows are doing ok and look at him he doesn't look happy anymore.

maybe one of these days people will understand their own body has more to do with health than what you put in it. They need to understand you can eat all the green fresh shit you want and still get cancer or have cholesterol. Or people like my grandma in law who never smoked, worked around smokers, had aspastis etc but got full bore lung cancer at 70 something.

People need to learn that crap like smoking, cholesterol etc are killers alone but trigger bad genes that causes cancers and diseases. People need to find a good Dr and not some nut job and listen to your body and warning signs. Don't smoke and if other crap is getting to high then slow down. Don't go to fast food more than ounce a week etc..

Its all basic crap and no reason anyone needs a f'ing book, movie, tv show etc to figure it out. If they keep forcing then slowly people will fall off...

just like Kevin this week can't think why the droid is outselling the iphone... duh.. its a open easy phone... I HATE google and my droid is only reason I use it and I love it because its not apple. People just got scammed into buying a ipad and most of these people love the movie super sized me... fools...

Kevin its simple even google haters love the droid because its not locked down, the apps are bad ass, it has flash and stfu about html5 my droid has flash. It multitasks better than the ipad, your not forced to one maker of phone. Most of the apps are free.

You right it doesn't have the library of apples store based on itunes and I f'ing hate itunes... but look the devs are moving over and its getting bigger... simple fact is droid is outselling the apple and you need to enjoy it and stop trying to figure out how the poll is bullshit. And btw Kevin I can do more with my droid out of the box then you can on the iphone. most people I know with one do more than play facebook or games... so stop it..

I know tons about farming and in one of the biggest areas of farming and yeah its mostly bullpoop. Farms are pretty green now and even burn bullpoop for power.

The over packed chicken farms are pretty much all gone and have been for years. States shut them down and its crap. Even to call something organic is a pain. Its a whole deal and something you cant say because you didn't give your chickens a shots. Most of the farms filmed in these are from the 80's and early 90's and they weren't Tyson they were for local sales to schools and prisons etc.

Fact is out meat is the best in the world. We have less causes of diseases than UK. If you want to make sure you eat better food its easy. There is even farms that will sell you a cow and at kill time you pick up the meat from a butcher.

The other thing is watch Trader Joes and that other nut place who buy most of there crap from outside USA. Go google there recalls and see where this crap is from.

If they are so easy then Kevin and Hippe get in your car and drive up and down California and find one.. California is one of the biggest farming states in USA. Can't be to hard to find one.... I am sure just about any will give you a tour too..
