How did you first find out about Digg/Diggnation?

I heard Kevin mention Diggnation on TWiT several times, and I just had to check it out. I think I started listening to it at around episode 4. I actually had no idea what the hell digg.com was, all I knew is they were reading stories from it, and it was hilarious.

After episode 6, I finally went to digg.com for the first time, I liked what I saw and I became a member.

So there's my story. Whats' yours?

no clue, just started coming to digg back when it was first launched...probably read about it on some blog. then they announced diggnation so i gave it a watch


digg is now my main news source, i'm not sure how I kept up on everything in tech and in general before it anymore

I don't really remember how I found out, but I've been watching since episode 1 (and have been a fan of TechTV, thebroken, etc since before diggnation...).

I actually started using Digg because of Diggnation.

I don't remember exactly, but i do know that my DiggNation virginity was taken by the audio version, and it was early on, Episode 3, the Ionic Breeze episode. But i'm not 100% sure how i came to it, i want to say it was from either Kevin or Alex's blog, which they never update anymore. So that brings me to where I am today, addicted, and i have my fiance addicted too. We watch it weekly from our own couch. With beers for me.

I was a big fan of Kevin Rose when he was on The Screen Savers, and I think I remember him talking about thebroken or something on one episode, so I checked it out. Since at that time, no shows were really updated regularly, I completely forgot about Revision 3, I think until sometime after Kevin quit G4, and as far as I can remember I just randomly stumbled across Rev3 again one day and saw that I had missed a couple months worth of new shows, most notably Diggnation. So I checked out the podcast, joined Digg.com, and never joined these forums until I had to reply to a thread one time... I never wanted to join the old forums because of how buggy they were.

I don't know how I found digg.com, might have just searched for something on google and found it. Either way glad I did!

In July a friend and I were at a bookstore in downtoan Mt. View and I asked if he was familiar with Slashdot, and she said she was, but preferred Digg.com. A month or so later, I was looking for new stuff to stick in my iPod and came by the podcast on iTunes, and it became an addiction. Then I started to check the site and finally signed up on three weeks ago. So as far as things go, I'm still a newbie, though an addicted one who some people seem to know.

I heard about digg from Kevin Rose's blog, he was asking for beta testers for a new site he was doing I shot him an email and he contacted me and we tested out digg that night it was pretty cool. I heard about diggnation through digg.com and I have been watching/listening ever since.

I was on Newgrounds watching another screamer, and I just felt like seeing what kind of information Wikipedia would have on them. It mentioned that something called "diggnation" had an episode that talked about it, and linked to the epsiode, so I downloaded it and was so entertained that I watched it every week from then on.

I just remember when I heard that the video iPod was coming out I ordered one and then had nothing else to do while I was waiting the week for it to ship, so I went and looked for a shitload of video podcasts and I remembered kevin and alex from the screensavers so I subscribed. Then i started tinkering around on digg and the rest is history. Podcasting is the reason I cancelled my cable tv, only to pay 20 bucks more for internet....was it worth it? yes, but I wish that 20 bucks was going to companies like revision 3 and twit

I don't know how, but I ended up watching some video version of TWiT, where Kevin was also participating. After watching a few episodes of TWiT I learned about Digg and Diggnation. I think I started watching TWiT and Diggnation around December '05, and after learning the meaning of podcasting, I began to follow a dozen of other podcast too.

I live in a quiet city in Finland, and even though people spend a lot of their time at computers (because of the 8 month snowy winter), I wonder how they can manage not to even hear a mention of Digg, podcasts and such.

I was bored one day and I starting remembering the good old times watching tech tv shows such as "the screensaves", " unscrewed", " gamespot" etc. So I decided to go out and find some old episodes. I found a few, then checked "the broken" website, but there where no updates either. So I decided to type in random guys names from the screen savers. Patrick Norton was first and BAM DL TV. I had a geekasm to know those guys where back online, and watch them religously for a week. Then through them I found out about kevin and his podcasting, and lets just say I stayed up lots of late nites laughing and catching up with old Dignation shows.

lol... i was playing starwars galaxies one day (hardly any aussies do) and this random said to go to mmoradio.com... so i tried it and was hooked and still put up with the crap heavy music sometimes... on the mmoradio web site was a podcast for starwars galaxies called swgack which alex did which was just audio which i thought was brilliant... alex mentions diggnation a few times on swgack so i thought id try it out listened to the audio and thought it was ordinary... anyway i saw an oportunity to see alex in action with the podcast... got hooked... and now im a subscriber... is there such a thing as bad beer?

I believe it was when I was trying to decide what to do with my life. One day I started a search on Google for Hacking. Well, sure enough "The Broken" came up and I watched every episode. Then all of a sudden, I remembered that Digg.com web site that I had once come across. I did a Google search to find out the exact name and then joined Digg.com. From there I checked out Diggnation and things started to get good, which led me to become a heavy Digg submitter and an avid Diggnation fan.

I can't remember how I first found Digg at all, actually. At a guess, I'd say it was some random site or article that mentioned what the old Tech TV crew were doing nowadays.

And even after frequently Digg for a while, I didn't realize they had a podcast until a while later when a friend of mine mentioned it was the only podcast he watches/listens to.

One day i was ponering why G4 sucked so much and it hit me, The Screensavers wasn't there! so i looked up wat the former hosts were up to and found out that kevin was working on revision3 and digg so i looked that up and ta-da!! i found diggnation.

So I was driving hte Batmobile down the autobahn to help a firend out (I don't like to be a name dropper, so I won't say it was THE BATMAN!!) when i saw the most addorable prostitute I MEAN Hitchiker along side the road. So I pulled over to help her out and she jumps in and starts rambling on about her buddy name "ZombieNinja" who she thinks is all Uber Awesome and Hot and smart, and how everyone should add him to thier friends list on Digg.com, and I was like "What's Digg.com" so she hauls off and slaps me, since I'm not really into pain, I pulled over and asked her to get out. There must have been some sort of Language barrier, because she took off her top, and I said, "So.. What's this Digg.com thing?". She told me what is was, how it worked and that I should become friends with ZombieNinja, and you should too.

SO that's my story, and I'm sticking too it,.. for now, and you should all buddy ZombieNinja, because only 2 people have, and I think he's Kewl too. :)

I mistakenly clicked a diggnation.com banner on digg, last March, that took me to Revision 3.
So, I tried watching an episode and found their drunken banter very entertaining. So now, I'm trying to watch all the back episodes.
I think I only have a few back episodes left to watch.
