I ordered a Dell about a month ago. I got a free Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade.

I searched around online and learned that you can upgrade from Windows XP or you can do a CLEAN install. Thats good.

Say I wanted to reinstall Windows Vista how would I do that? Do I need my Windows XP discs.

I see that Upgrade dvd can do a Clean Install. So, Doesn't this mean that I should be able to do Clean REINSTALL!?

I don't know how works with Vista, but I did a clean install with an XP Upgrade version on a PC that had 98 on it before. During the install process I did have to insert the Windows 98 discs to prove that I in fact owned a real copy of 98 to allow me to used the XP Upgrade disc and license key.

I would assume with Vista you will need the XP discs.
