Hi, i want to start saying sorry for my english, cuz i'm watching your (amazing) show from Quebec, Canada, so i'm french.

I'm here to know if anyone know a good HD camera, for "Professional Amateur Video maker" like me, who want to shot like 2-3 shorts false trailer, a web series and a short movie that i've already written during the last 2 years.

I've got all i need, except a good HD Camera.

I've found the SOny HVR-HD1000 what is on my price range (2000$ CAD maximum).

Which camcorder is the best for all my stuff? without spending 5000$ on a professionnal one.

I've look to same HD HandyCam, but it seem not as good as the HVR-HD1000.

If anyone can help me on this one, it could very nice.

Thanks,

Dany

Sony HVR-HD1000 might not be a good camcorder for filming check to see if it has 24p mode. Second it's also 1080i you will need really good software to put it back together to 1080p if that's what you want to do.

Panasonic has good camcorders for around 1000 dollars. They do not have 24p but have 60p there is a way to encode to 24p. Canon camcorders all have 24p some are fake putting 24p in a 30p rapper. It has to say native 24p.

HD DSLRS Panasonic GH-1 is a good camera but has problems and Canon is also good but also has problems.
