Hi guys!
I recently purchased a Nokia 5800 XM mobile phone, that has a incoporated wi-fi device. So, to test it, I tried to connect it to my wireless router that I have in my home (Sweex LW050v2). The problem is that the mobile connects to the router, but it doesn't have internet connection available (I cannot browse!). Also I want to add that I've noticed (on my laptop) that I have the same problem, but, in the laptop's case it can be fixed by alocating an IP address (the problem is only when the connection has to "obtain ip adress automaticaly").
So my question is what to I need to modify in my router's settings to get any wireless device working after connecting without setting up manualy an IP address ??
If you need any other info about my current router settings pls let me know.

Thx!

PS: I'm not from US so hopefully I wrote the text well so you can understand clearly what my problem is.

There are a couple of things that could be causing this:

WEP/WPA/WPA2 (security settings) - make sure that the devices you are trying to connect can handle the security you have implemented.
DHCP - make sure that the router is set up to serve IP addresses.

Quick question ... does your Nokia and laptop connect to other hotspots when you are away from home?

The problem was from my DHCP settings. The system was on, bu I forgot to set up the gateway for that. Now I've rectified those settings and it works perfectly my wi-fi from my phone :)

And to respond to your question: yes, they did. that was my dilema, why there and not @ my home also, but now it's done.

Thx man!
