I'm not a producer on the show, but as one of the three "faces" of InDigital, I appreciate all the feedback we're getting from you guys on this.

However, there is something to keep in mind: we have less than ten people on board who make this show go. We've worked out most of the bugs that come with putting together a show like this, and we're still in a position where we have to compromise in areas where we'd rather not compromise (like audio) but if we were to invest the time and effort to perfect that now (rather than later, when we have more money and staff) it would further delay the shows, and take attention and hands away from other things, like getting new products, interacting in these forums, and producing new shows.

Don't forget that we are an ultra low budget shop at the moment. I have a lifetime of experience in this realm, and it is incredible that Stephen, Hahn, and the rest of the behind-the-scenes guys can do what they do and consistently turn out a product that's worth watching.

We hear you. We know you want better quality; so do we. To get there, we need to keep putting out new episodes, expand our audience, and get more sponsors for the show which will result in bigger budgets and a higher quality on-screen product.

You can help us there: tell your friends about the show, link us in your blogs, submit us to digg, reddit, netscape, fantacular, and other aggregators.

One of the greatest things for me about this experience is running fearlessly over all this new territory, and that includes interacting with our audience on a very intimate level. (Can you imagine a big budget Discovery Channel show doing this sort of thing? Man, I wish Kari Byron from Mythbusters would send me private messages!)

You guys are a big part of this show, and your passion for it will inspire us. We'll continue to work hard to earn it.

I would tend to agree with you on the whole Kati Byron thing. However, there has been some debate on the issue. I'm sure T/U has something to say.

On the criticism: You should chalk it up to love. We know that you're not amateurs. Honestly though, I didn't notice the audio thing the first time I watched.

Hmm I think I feel a baby picture coming on...

Hi Will, this is super awesome now that I think about it (writing to you that is) Anyways, they way the show is done is close to perfect, only complaint would be the way the camera gets too shaky sometimes, maybe on purpose. Lighting could be improved. Otherwise this is one of my favorite podcasts.

Oh and Jessica is hot... ;)

You guys need to talk to your sound engineer as the sound levels are horrible. I might be picky when it's due to the fact the show room floor causes some issues but other videos and audio of CES were not nearly this bad. Just watch the show again and you'll notice that the sound volume varies so wildly that I almost don't want to watch as I have to change the volume so frequently. It just seems very amaturish. Other than that I like everything else.

Hey Wil, nice to see you guys chatting it up in here. This is one of my favorite podcasts from Revision3 and have been watching since the first episode. The progress has been great with the limited funds and man power you have. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next episode. Just so you guys know, I watch every episode streamed to my xbox 360 and the quality is as good as the other podcasts I watch.

Well, other than complaints about my shirt, I hear (no pun intended) lots of concerns about sound.

I don't know anything about the process of putting the show together (I'm just a lowly host, you know) but it's clear from comments here and at my blog that the sound issues are distracting to a significant portion of the audience. I can't promise anything in the short term, but I'll bring this up with the powers that be in our next production meeting.

Thank you all for your constructive comments and criticisms. It's good to know what you like and don't like, and what interferes in your enjoyment of the show.

Sound engineer?

Hahn

In all seriousness, it's something we need to address. We've been going by ear and clearly it's not the way to go for 40 minutes.

Well, I definitely noticed the volume differences in each segment of the CES eps, but I didn't mind so much. I understand completely that some things, especially for something low budget, are going to be hard to get "perfect", and anyway, the content came through just fine, and that's all that really matters!

Well, I definitely noticed the volume differences in each segment of the CES eps, but I didn't mind so much.I noticed the differences too, but I also didn't mind them so much. Seriously, how lazy have we become to not adjust the volume on our PC's/TV's? The only thing that bothered me was in that on episode where it got really quiet, so I turned up the volume and then suddenly I got hit with a sonic boom of static! However, Hahn already apologized to my left ear drum for that one, so all is forgiven!

On a serious note...

I really do enjoy the show you guys put out. A lot. I think it's funny that apparently so many people have e-mailed the show, that it spawned Wil to finally say something about it. You guys work hard, but your time and money into a show that entertains us... for FREE. So, my thanks goes out to you guys for doing this. I love watching the stuff you guys come up with, and everytime I see a new show released, I always get excited and download it right away.

Anyway, that's my .02

Keep up the good work.

Spawned? I think Wil is a great guy, but I don't like to visualize Wil "spawning."

I think you meant "spurred."

I can honestly say I love the show just the way it is and it can only get better.

I pimp this show out to everyone I can get to listen to me.
