I've been seeing more and more commercials for it, which look alright. I'm not a Ghost Rider fan, personally, but that hasn't stopped me from seeing a "comic book" movie before. Anyone planning on seeing it? I was wondering if there was any buzz already on it just being garbage. My gut feeling says it might be one of those to just wait until it comes out for rental.

I'm thinking that you will probably be smart to follow your gut.
I haven't heard anything positive.
Paul Jenkins was tasked writing Mythos Ghost Rider which basically was to merge all the different origins with the movie origin and basically serve as a jumping off point for non comics readers who liked the movie to jump in.
When he was on FBR he declined to comment on it and they basically got him to say by not saying that the version of the script that he saw wasn't very good. Jenkins will promote anything; if he can't get behind it then it must really suck.

I'll probably see it. Assuming I can find someone to go with me. That may be the show stopper.

I want this film to be in the "So Bad it's Good" area. Like something akin to MST3K. I want to laugh and laugh and never stop.

I'm probably not going to see it. The fact that they're calling Johnny Blaze "JB" and have Nic Cage running around with a cowboy hat and Southern accent totally turns me off.
