What's so wrong about posting this?

Canon 5D fixes I posted this on antoher board so I'm just posting it again

I've done a lot of research on these problems and have found fixes for all of them. Canon and Nikon both have Aliasing, Moire, Rolling Shutter Jello effect. Panasonic does not have Aliasing and Moire problems, but does have a MUD problem.

Aliasing, Moire Fix

caprock filter

I found this video on vimeo the user said aliasing is very hard to see now you really have to look for it.

7D Caprock 2.0 Anti Moire Filter, Aliasing Filter

Read the comments on vimeo.com/7523222 the caprock will give your HD DSLR a softer look.

I found out about the caprock filter from this message board.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I did make another post saying you should make a episode telling people about these fixes before putting them on

http://revision3.com/deals_electronics

It's the right thing to do and to delete a post that really points out the fixes on these problems and delete a post is just wrong.

Most likely a mod thought you were a spam bot. a new account and lots of links to other sites usually triggers a "this looks like spam" response. If you had 20 or more posts and then posted that info, the response probably would have been different.

Take a breath and look at it that way and I think you will see it differently.

The mods here are usually good folk.

Well if that is the case then it would be a good idea to at least check out the links first. To see if the info is spam or not.

How does one check the links for spam?

Reading helps.

How do does one distinguish spam links for non-spam links?

My point is that it is very difficult for a mod/admin to tell if a spam like post is actually spam by examining the links, the spammer could have any purpose which is not limited to making money. Even examining details about the user account may not help verify the post is not spam.

Not it's not very hard to if links are spam or not.

Is this a forum for filming making? Then people all know about the Rolling Shutter problem form Canon's HD DSLR's.

And here is a program with a video that shows for to fix it in After Effects.

http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/pkg_overview.aspx?ui=47C4AB50-4636-4326-87D1-FB380B2119EF

Here's a video of a person using a caprock filter to help people that use Canon HD DSRL's when filming.

http://vimeo.com/7523222

So I posted the only place in the world to buy this filter.

http://caprockdev.com/antimoire.htm

Other people have talked about Anti-aliasing filter's.

I found out about it from the Canon5D film maker website.

Everything I posted was to fixing problems with film making with Canon HD DSLR's.

How does an admin/mod do this with out spending all the time in the world verifying every thing?
Also, posting a link to where one can by something is instant spam flagging.

As one of the forum moderators (not the one that deleted the original message, but I probably would have anyway), let's have a look at what sends up a red flag for spam.

1. Username is a product or service - Canon5D? Strike 1.
2. Post is a new thread with a bunch of links that address a real or perceived problem. Strike 2.
3. No prior posts, and saying that this is copied from something you posted somewhere else. Strike 3.

Each of these are common practices for SEO gamers trying to boost link relevance on Google and other search engines.

Final straw? Saying that the cap filter product should be added to the Electronics Deals list.

Add it all up and it starts to smell like a can of spiced pork product.

The only thing that stopped me from killing this thread as well was that I have suspicions that you might be connected to caprock, but since they are in NJ, and you are coming in via MA (and not New Jersey or New York, or China, India, Pakistan, or the Philippines) I have no proof.

Your post might not have been spam, but it still leaves a funky aftertaste.

I have nothing to do with caprock. But I do think the filter should be added so people know of the problems with the Canon HD DSLR and I also think the Rolling Shutter plugin should also be added.

Are are a bunch of videos with Aliasing and Moire issues.

Rolling Shutter. Maybe I work for http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/pkg_overview.aspx?ui=47C4AB50-4636-4326-87D1-FB380B2119EF

The company that made the plugin to Rolling Shutter so you can film with one of these Canon HD DSLR's.

Everything I posted is a fix all the Problems with Canon HD DSLR for filming making and to put the CANONS on

http://revision3.com/deals_electronics

And not give people a heads up on these problems is just wrong when people are spending up to $1,000.

I still think Film Riot should do a show of the Canon HD DSLR and the fixes for these for film makers.

And like I said before the Panasonic Gh-1 only has a Rolling Shutter problem. The mud problem as been fixed in the newer models that got released.

Yep. That aftertaste is pretty nasty.
