I hope no one considers this spam. I am not associated with this site or anything. I'm just glad it exists, its something I care about, and I hope some other people here will, too!
Outdoorzy.com (http://www.outdoorzy.com/) is a brand new (I think I'm the 191st member?) social network for people interested in, well, outdoorsy type things :) You know, hiking, biking, camping, rock climbing, etc.
I, myself, am an avid outdoorsman, and if anyone here is as well, please come help this site grow and maybe meet some cool, like minded friends along the way!
Like I said, the site is brand new, and there are tons of bugs :D But the people running it seem super cool, and really responsive. Come check it out!
My profile is here (http://www.outdoorzy.com/profile/index.cfm/action-display/memberID-191/) if you want to add me.
I'll be updating it with some trip reports as time goes on.
Peace!

Is this one of those "naturist" sites you keep talking about?

Awesome, thanks for brining that up in here (and no, i don't think its spam at all). It's always nice to find other people into the strange combination of computer nerd / outdoors geek :D
I just did the "add as friend" thing, and anyone who wants to see my profile can find it here (http://www.outdoorzy.com/profile/index.cfm/action-display/memberID-192/)
Edit: you may want to change the title of the thread to "go outside in the sun -- AND the rain?!" 'cause i think most of the people on that sight (myself included) do this stuff rain or shine :D

the only daylight i see is from our little basement windows and having to walk from work to my car and then from my car to the store or the house... I give new meaning to the word pale :)
I do love mountain biking though, if i'm lucky enough in the summer and i don't have to work over I get to ride before it gets dark out!

Well you don't look all that pale in your avatar.. edit -- oh wait.. yeah you do! :p
Regarding mountain biking, what kind? I used to be a die-hard XC rider, but have recently (since moving to the Pacific Northwest) been converted to a body armor wearing freerider :D

The best part is, I spent 6 months going a tanning bed once, and didn't get any darker, i guess i'm just meant to be pale!
mostly i ride around our town, i live in a really small town that is very hilly, i also ride around a couple local parks on the trails and stuff... i guess not really mountain biking per se, but yeah...

I signed up, my profile (http://www.outdoorzy.com/profile/index.cfm/action-display/memberid-204) is here for any who are interested. Generally I find that computers and adrenaline don't mix well for alot of people. Looks like a good site though.
