How does After Effects run on your Computer?

So basically im curious what kind of computer youre running and how After Effects runs on it. Ive went to Adobe and seen the recommended specs. but alot of computer games when you run them on recommended specs still dont run well, you need too have much better than recommended to get the most out of them. I was just wondering if thats the way after effects is. Im buying a laptop soon and want to run after effects on it and need to know what specs it need tos have.

If you want to do anything nearly serious with AE don't get a laptop. If you want to mess around a bit, then sure, but aside from that don't do it. You want to be running a 64 bit OS with say, 6GB RAM and a quad core CPU. Unless you love waiting forever to see changes made in real time.
