I´m currently attending a wedding, but for reasons I am right now stuck in bed at our hotel room. Thought I would share the interesting dinner we got.

For precourse we got:

White wine steamed salmon, horseradish cream with whole rosépepper seeds, cherry tomato and salad.

I don´t like salmon at all, but this one I ate, and liked. Not the usual salmon flavor, and the horseradish cream made it just perfect.

Main Course:

Whole baked antilope, with mushroom stew, game sauce, fresh vegetables, cooked potatoes and gratinated potatoes in double cream and cowberry jam.

Never had antilope before, and it tasted great! My description would be very much like most game, dear and moose, but without the wilderness flavour. The texture was very smooth, almost reminiscing liver. Most tender meat I have ever consumed. You should really try it once if you get the chance.

For Dessert:
Ice cream cake with marzipan covering, and fresh strawberries mixed with finely chopped mint leaves.

All in all a very good meal. If you envy me, have some schadenfreude: I am as mentioned in bed, and right now they have started serving the wedding cakes! SUCKS. But my girlfriend is a lifesaver, she just brought me a platter of assorted cakes, and a bottle of Voss Water (designer-thingy-gimmick, costs about $14 for a 0.7l bottle). Makes me feel a little bit better at least.

That catering probably cost more than our entire wedding budget. We're doing pastas. :) Some fellow forumers are on the guest list. I'm marrying a fellow forumer, actually. I get a kick out of this.

Got no idea what the bill was here, but I know they got the meat through friends, so it wasn´t very expencive.

And I must correct myself, the water is $14 for 3.75dl, not 7dl.

Heading home in a few minutes, just gonna drop by a stone-masonry.

Sounds lie a really nice meal ad it is just a shame that you got stuck in bed! Were you sick? Horrible timing on your behalf if so!

Even worse: Tooth acke. Went to the dentist today, and had to pull the tooth. To add damage to injury, it was too many people there, not good for my nerves.

Got some pictures of the meals, will add them tomorrow.

There are only two people who should be ditching a wedding reception early to jump into bed ...

Ariastar: Forth up to the right.

Niall: I had one cola/rum at the room. I could´ve drunk more, but my body is weak to high temperature, so I would´ve just cracked under if I got more alcohol in my body. Which in turn would end with me jumping in the fjord again, which was very cold the first time *laughs*
