is anyone into tinted photography? i think its really cool. i found out about it at artsfrest 2 years ago.

i know i spent 70$ on a small one. i need to makes an assload of money because electronics and tinted photos are mad $$

Does anyone use Photoshop to make their own? I love photoshop and have been meaning to look into tinted photography. It is definately cool.

i used gimp on one photo to make it all black and white but the football team comming out of the tunnel at the orange bowl, but it was a piss poor job om my part

after seeing the picture I still don't understand what tinted photography is..
to me it looks like someone took a black and white picture and then colored it in... is that it?

pretty much thats what it is but they use semi transparent oil paint. look at tinted photos here http://www.neilrbrown.com/gallery/index.html

More like take a color picture and make select parts black and white I would say. just highlight a selection, select the inverse and make it black and white, the deselected portion will remain colored. From there you can go to apply different filters to it to enhance its color or whatever.

I once photoshopped a flower to change the coloring and tint (It started as black and white) and my friends had no idea it was colorized. It looked so vibrant.

My roommate (who will be a roommate no more since I'm moving to my own place in a month) has a BA in art and is a PhotoShop addict. She does things like this sometimes, and it's really pretty cool.
