Blu-Ray drive for Pc

I'm currently building a PC desktop, After doing research and reviews, I finally figured what parts to be use, the one thing i'm not sure on after seeing some good and bad, is it worth have a blu-ray combo drive or should I just stay with a dvdrw for now, hope maybe to get some ideas on what the community thoughs on blu-ray drives are before making a descion on my optical drive

Do you want to be able to play blu-ray disks? If so, get a blu-ray drive, otherwise don't.

The Blu-ray-ROM/DVD±R/RW drives are not exactly expensive. Blu-ray R/RW drives are quite a bit more expensive, and the writable disks are very expensive, I wouldn't bother with these.

if you get a blu-ray drive you need to know if it comes with a program some OEM drives are just that a drive no program to use it. and the program is not cheap.
