I have been watching revision 3 for three years and have loved every minute of it. I watch diggnation, TRS, and Film Riot every week. I lost my job over a year ago and thought it would be fun to try and make some podcasts of my own.

We have been working for almost a year trying to make some podcasts and have had limited success. We have tried many things to try and find viewers, but can't quite figure it out. We finally have one show that we think could work, but would love feedback with any ideas. The show is called Your News Mixx and is working with the website Mixx.com. It is three guys discussing news stories from the website.

We would love to hear any ideas that you guys have whether that be for the show or ideas for marketing that doesn't make us look like spam. Thanks so much for the response. Here is an example of the show. Hope you like it!!

I would say a good step would be to get mixx.com to put your podcast somewhere visible on their homepage. That would increase traffic for sure.

It sounds a lot like Diggnation to me, but with an extra dude. I haven't seen the show yet, (ill take a gander after work) but you should bring something to the table Diggnation/other relevant shows do not. Because I, like a lot of other people really only have time to watch one, maybe a couple shows relying on the "guys sitting on a couch talking" premise. Take a look through UStream on any given night and you'll find many shows featuring 3 guys drinking beer on a couch. Try to throw something new in. Maybe outdoor segments or somehting, asking the public their opinon maybe?

Those are some good ideas. I will have the guys brainstorm on how to give it something special. We are tying to get it featured on the site. We think it will happen eventually, but we have to go through the steps. Thanks a lot brian123. Hope you enjoy the show, let me know if anything pops in your head.

You need to consider what you unique selling point is... Ask yourself what you offer that others don't.

Maybe look into viral marketing techniques too....
