I could never really get into the whole MMO scene. I played WoW for about two years, but really only because my friends liked it. I need a good story in order to really compel me to finish a game. There was never one class I liked in that game either. Sadly my friends still play it, one a little too much.

I played WoW for approximately 25min's... uninstalled it afterwards. Luckily it was a trail version that a friend had sent me.
I've played EQ2 and was alright but played Lineage2 for about a year but have layed off it for a bit.
But I still have no clue how WoW has so many freaking subscribers.

I have never, ever, played even a single minute of any MMO.
I was a mudder. I mudded for, oh, 10 years? I failed classes in high school because of mud. I would mud all night, then sleep through my first period classes. My phone bills were in the hundreds of dollars a month. I got my first job to pay for my own phone line... to mud on. I fought with my family over mud. I neglected my health, all as a sacrifice to the Blood God. My life for mud!
But, I have conquered my mud addiction. I've been on the wagon for a good 4 or 5 years now. But, every time I see a telix screen, I have to call my sponsor. If Kevin or Alex ever started raving about how they got back into mud, well, I'd probably have to join the Peace Corps or something.......

I think the reason they have so many subscribers is because the game is very simple to get into. But that makes it very dull at the same time, I need some depth in my games, and MMOs are really just a total grind fest.

I'm not quite sure about that. I mean, yeah, WoW is easy to pickup and just start playing right away. But at the same time, a lot of the MMORPGs out right now and some old ones were the same way.
I've played a lot of them and I don't remember one that I couldn't do the same with. I think there's a lot of reasons why they have so many subscribers, and not just one or two.
You're right, though, MMOs are just a total grind fest; at least until you hit the level cap and then it's either a grind fest all over again or a raid fest. I guess it's part of what makes them suck and part of what makes them so great at the same time.

Right the end game just seems ****ing stupid to me, "Yeah I raid the same place every day, and it takes six hours"

Well not one of my best friends who plays it constantly, but I suppose it's because he's in one of those hardcore raiding guilds. But seriously he has a problem.

I have a friend who played WoW since it was released like a year ago or two. I am a little worried cuz he.............well..............he's fat and likes chicken.
Nah, im jk, friend and i usually make fun of him for playing wow. I told him how is he going to manage when he is in college, replies "If their is a raid night, im not to class, **** it, WoW is more important" **sounding sarcatisc**.
