What do you guys think of the new 150.00 kmart Augen "ipad killer"

I'm thinking of buying it but i never heard of the augen company before. I wanted an iPad but its too much money for a student like my self...let me know what you think or what else i should wait for or what.

iPad killer? Not even close ... but it's an ok android tablet.

But I do have a problem with the specs ...

720p? On a 800x480 screen?

There have been a number of these devices hitting eBay lately. Most of them are skinned to look like an iPad. This is not an iPad. It's not an iPad killer ... not even close. But it should stand on it's own.

If you want an iPad, get an iPad. I suspect that you might be disappointed with an imitation, but could be happy provided you treat it as an android.

I thought about getting Augens Reader since it is only 90. Then I saw this in the local sale paper thought cool might get it. Then saw amazon is offering a lower priced($130) Kindle so it will be what I will probably be getting.

Yes i want an iPad so bad! but its way to much money for me to pay right now. Do we see a price drop soon haha....as if that would ever happen...

HP's slate seems like it will be the closet thing to an iPad competitor if it ever comes out and if at a reasonable price. But some of the rumored prices I have seen say it will cost more than the iPad.

This thing was a nightmare when it got released but is quite good now if you fix all the bugs with official and unofficial patches! Anyway the Augen Gentouch (http://www.augengentouch.com) is probably the first of many cheap iPad alternatives that come out of China and are sold by US major retailers.

Also they had a problem with Google but i`m sure that it works out for them because Google wants to attract developers!
