hey, does anybody know a good place to get original comic art. i've tried ebay and a handful of other places, but so far haven't had much luck. i'm looking for a 80's era daredevil page in particular, but any advice would help. thanks.

If you know the artist you're looking for specifically, a lot of the new guys sell their art directly, or have someone do it for them.
Other than that, your best bet is to go to a major comic convention. Those guys have all the pages right there, and there's a good chance you can wheel and deal a little.
If you're looking for Miller Daredevil pages, I hope you saved your money.

Yikes. I just checked out Alex Maleev's offerings just out of curiousity just to see how much things would cost.
Do people also sell reprints, which I assume would be much more affordable?
Well, I think Maleev's original stuff is insanely high since he does most of his stuff with a Wacom tablet... you won't get much original art that way. I know he offers reprints of his stuff at shows, which are pretty affordable as far as I know.
The only piece of original art I have is a page by Jim Lee from Punisher War Journals #17. Punisher is beating someone up in a Hawaiian shirt, which no doubt adds to its value. It's awesome.

You know, Alex Ross has some art for sale, only 12,000$ for some of his work, how could you go wrong?
But honestly conventions are always a good place to get some art.

Never ever go to splashpageart.com with a credit card if you know you don't have extra money. Dangerous that is....

Good luck with finding original Daredevil (http://i23.ebayimg.com/05/i/08/b2/cf/29_1.JPG). Just so you know. We'd be bidding against each other if you did manage to find some on eBay (http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZoriginalQ20DaredevilQ20artQQ_armrsZ1QQ_f romZR40QQ_mdoZ).

My GF got me my first ever original page for my birthday a few weeks ago. She got me page 44 of Ghost stories by Jeff Lamire. It's the best gift anyone has ever got me and it's gonna look fantastic in my comic room (I'm in the middle of buying a house and one of the rooms is gonna be a comic room).
