I love Johns and I'm sorry to see him leave this title. Titans was one of the best OYL relaunches for DC. That said, I'm loving Beechen's Robin, too, so I'm okay with the replacement.
So, what's your favorite John's Titan's story? What title would like to see Johns take on? And who would be your choice of artist?
My answers: The Titans v. Dr. Light story. I'd love to see him take on the JLA after Meltzer leaves. And I'd love to see Frazer Irving, who just did a two-issue stint on Robin with Beechen, join the Titans team.
I saw that story and I wondered how people would react. I've never read Titans myself

No... Say it ain't so...
I didn't need to read this first thing in the morning..
The last time I felt like this was when Grant Morrison left X-men. I'm heartbroken.. :(
What is this? McKeever leaving Spider Man Loves Mary Jane and now this..
I'm crushed..
and that's...... about what I expected when I 'wondered how people would react'
not you specifically but people in general

I think I'm the only one going "Yeah! Becheen!"
I just don't think Johns has been doing it on Teen Titans for a while. I'm happy about this.

Yeah, unfortunately I heard about this at my comic shop on Wednesday. What really gets me is that over Christmas I started back tracking on this issue to read all of the issues since the relaunch which I believe was when John's came on this title. Still working on it and it's really good stuff. Since I haven't read it all yet, I can't really give my favorite story, but as far as who I would like to see on art, I think Ivan Reis would be good and I'm with you on Johns taking over JLA when Meltzer leaves.

Adam Beechen's Robin has been kick ass. It is, very quietly, the best DC book out right now. I'm sad about Johns leaving, but excited about what's to come.

Now Adam Beechen is off Teen Titans before he even starts!
COUNTDOWN TO ADVENTURE LAUNCHES IN AUGUST (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=112581)
Sometimes, even if you leave space, space calls you back.
Case in point, DC’s “space heroes” of the recently-concluded 52: Animal Man, Starfire and Adam Strange. They all made it back to their respective homes by the end of the series, but in August, they’re going back in Countdown to Adventure, an eight issue miniseries.
*snip*
Beechen’s move to the new miniseries does come with a cost – he had to give up Teen Titans, where he was recently named as the series’ new writer, stepping in for the departing Geoff Johns. Moving over to that series will be another member of the Countdown team, Sean McKeever.
McKeever will join Johns, Marv Wolfman, Mike McKone, George Perez, Todd Nauck and other creators for August’s Teen Titans #50 “jam issue,” and then head off on his own with September’s #51 with artist Randy Green.
“Sean’s is able to write in that great younger voice that the Teen Titans book really needs and a great sensibility for the characters, and again, like Adam, with his time working on Countdown, he was able to learn a lot about the interaction between them. When Teen Titans came free, Sean just seemed the most logical choice. Sean will be writing two of our team books now, with Titans and Birds of Prey, and he brings a great voice to both those books.”

Well, damn. From what I've heard about McKeever, this may not necessarily be a bad thing though.

I actually said "Good, I might buy this again now" but I'm sure for the most part there's much wailing and gnashing of teeth going on.

I've enjoyed Johns on Teen Titans. Eventhough I was already going to read Teen Titans when it first was annouced (because of my ridiculous love for the then IMPULSE, Robin, and my all around fav SUPERBOY) I was really excited when I found out that Johns was writting it. The guy seems to be able to tap into everything I loved about comics when I was a kid (although I'm only 24). I always loved his ability to bring in C level characters, make you care about them and then usually kill them off. Although I was mad when OYL happened and the book had no SUPERBOY or Kid flash, I hung in there and actually grew to love Kid Devil(it happened during his spotlight issue) and Deathstrokes daughter(saddly as I write this her codename escapes me) Rose. I still think that we got kinda screwed on even more awesome stories with the original Titans/Young Justice line up but I was alright with it. I don't remember how I found out but I knew early on during the Titans East storyline that Johns was leaving and it gave me the flash back of how I felt when he left The Flash, Avengers, JSA, and his 1st stint of Superman. But I still pick up all those books, because mainly Johns just helped me to realize that I still love those characters no matter who's on the book... Although I could defintely tell that Johns wasn't on the last issue of Titans, it's alright because I'll always read the book as long as the stories are interesting and we don't get saddled with a team with Argent or any other (as I like to call them) JL Detroit teammates(sorry to all those out there that liked Vibe). Beechan is kicking serious butt on Robin right now, so I'm in for the long haul. It takes quite a bit to turn me off a book. I.E-house of M ending or X-men going into Space again.

I actually went out shortly after my post and began reading it. I'm caught up to the end of IC with it now. The OYL trade has been ordered.

The more I look at the picture the more I am really, really excited for the series. I'm bummed about Beechen but McKeever is a top-notch replacement and I really, really like this line-up.
Who drew the teaser image? Cause I dig it. And I'm with you Conor, excited for this, the last two issues have won me back.
Yes, it is.
I'm bummed that they've lightened her costume. Petty? yes, but it does suck

If that's the case on McKeever, I have peace of mind. I love his stuff. :)

I never even read TT before the last 2 months or so. I'm caught up to OYL now and I'm waiting for the OYL trade to come in. I ordered it last week.

I got the first TT trade on a light week because I enjoy Geoff Johns. I really enjoyed it. And then I got really excited when Beechen was taking over. But I hear good things about McKeever(on this thread). And that line up looks pretty sweet to me. They're actually all teens now, right?

SEAN MCKEEVER ON TEEN TITANS #50 (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=120354)
Newsarama: So this first issue is going to focus on poor Bart Allen?
Sean McKeever: Yeah. It's really sad. In a short time he went from being Impulse to Kid Flash to Flash, and now he's gone. So issue #50 is a good moment to not only celebrate Bart's life, but for the Teen Titans to take stock of their own lives as they head into a new chapter of the Titans.
NRAMA: We saw the funeral in Countdown already, yet you call this a memorial issue?
SM: This isn't a funeral. This is the Titans getting together at Titans Island to remember his life -- not to mourn him, but to celebrate him.
NRAMA: And when you say Titans, how many Titans are we talking about?
SM: The new team plus some Titans from teams past.
NRAMA: Will they be sharing memories?
SM: Yes! Actually, that's the whole idea of bringing in Johns and Wolfman and Dezago. The main story is this one day where they have a memorial of Bart, and as the story goes on, different characters think back to times past regarding the various Kid Flashes -- both Bart and Wally, who's in the issue.

Looks like Blue Beetle won't be an official member right away. Maybe a few issues or so down the road. I do hope Jaime joins the Titans soon though.
