Any word on the venue for Vegas on the 21st? I want to book a hotel ASAP. Also is this thing still on there was no mention of it last episode.

The Facebook invite is still up as is the event on the Rev3 calendar. I'm guessing they couldn't go into further detail about it since the national campaign against drunk driving is one of the sponsors and Budweiser is hosting the shindig.

Last year's Vegas show was at the Palms. I'm guessing this year's might be there or possibly the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. In any case, book your room directly with some of the hotels you're eyeing and lock in a good rate now - most Vegas hotels have pretty lenient cancellation policies between 48-72 hours before arrival.

Thanks for the info. According to this page http://www.bandofbuds.com/about/vegas the final finals are at The Mirage so I'm guessing the show might be there. Is that hotel recommended? I've never been to Vegas and I'm flying from Canada so any help would be much appreciated.

Hmm, did they have the venue up temporarily? I can't seem to find anywhere that indicates Mirage as the final location. In any case, for a first-timer, Mirage is an excellent choice. All the rooms were renovated as of a couple years ago and the suites were redone last month. Great restaurants, bars, an excellent pool (it'll still be pretty damn hot in mid/late September), and the location is dead center strip.

Well, it looks like the venue is Stoney's and the closest major casinos are South Point and M Resort. M is a great hotel, but about 9 miles south of where the strip actually starts - definitely not where you'd want to stay as a first-timer. Cabs will probably run around $25-$30 each way from center strip to the venue.

Thanks for the info mikee. I'm all booked in at The Mirage so i think I'll just stay there. Buy you a beer at the show?

Palms has a deal for $29 per night. You get $50 in free slot money so it's essentially free. For $20 more, you get the same type of room they shot episode 216 in. Damn good deal.

Sorry to keep posting, but I just got word that the Palms offer I linked to above was sent out in error to everybody in Palms' guest list when it should have, in fact, been a snail mail invitation to return customers. Nothing in the terms and conditions, however, says that you have to bring said invitation when checking in. Hopefully they'll tear a page out of Zappos' customer service and honor the rate, but anybody with a booking there should keep a back up hotel reserved just in case.

This is perfect, I might be able to actually make it. I was expecting a room to be $300 / night. Cheers

Also, for those still on the fence about coming, SouthwestVacations.com has some truly excellent flight and hotel packaged deals for the solo traveler even as we near this close to the event.

The newest hotel on the strip, Aria (and its parent company MGM Resorts), is going through some serious financial issues and is offering cutthroat rates for the level of property that they are. Make sure to use the promo MGM20PNT to save an additional $20 per night.

I will probably be at this one as well. Would love to meet some of you. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to carpool, I'll be driving from Los Angeles.

Also, does anyone know if the venue is 21+ because that will definitely impact my decision to attend.
