Roku audio muting

I posted under a similar thread, but I completed some of the troubleshooting steps requested. My issues are audio will mute out a couple different times during the episode. To get the audio back I have to fast forward a little bit of the show. There are occassional times that the episode will loop. Meaning it will act like it is downloading, play a few seconds, and then loop to downloading again. Here is my traceroute. I am completing the traceroute over wireless. My Roku is connected via network cable.

I included a traceroute to google.com for comparison. I would believe that since I am getting time outs for most of the items that it is my internet that is laggy, but I am able to stream movies from Netflix and listen to songs from Pandora on my Roku without any issues. The episodes I have had trouble with are Diggnation #272,271,270,269,268; Film Riot #69,68,67; Hak5 #804,803,802,801,726; The Ben Heck Show #1; and Scam School #131,129,128,127,126. I watched Scam School episode 130 on the web so I did not see a need to rewatch it on the Roku. Those are the main shows I watch from Revision3 on the Roku.

It would appear that your ISP has decided to turn off TTL timeout response's on there routers. ISP's will do this to avoid disclosing information about the structure of there infrastructure, but it does make testing when things are broken difficult. Try trace routing a server that is much further away, like one in China, Australia or Europe. e.g. china.cn

Not that this is the likely cause of the problem.

I completed the following trace routes at college using a school computer. They might have a pretty slammed network, but I completed the trace routes towards the end of the school night. There are no people who live on campus so the network is not getting tied up by dorms. I will do another trace route to china.cn from my computer on my home internet for true comparison to my original trace routes.

My issue still exists. I recently upgraded to 15mbps Roadrunner. I am going to switch from Component video to composite and see if that makes any change.

I have switched the video on the Roku box to both Composite and Component. The audio always stays stereo audio. I have posted a video of what happens. The video can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpF32O5aefo. The sound goes out at approximately 1:04 and at 3:40 in the video.

Any one else have a Roku box and watch Revision3 on it? If so is your Roku box one of the newer ones or is it the original Netflix player Roku box? I am getting tired of the audio muting and I am curious if I should even get one of the newer boxes to rectify this issue.
