I've been there. But I'm wondering about the whole minors thingy. I supplied alcohol to an under-21-minor at MacWorld, so, um there's no point to this. I hope I can get my boyfriend to go with me so he can drive me home so I can get drunk.

Too bad Canadians need a passport to enter the US now, no chance the passport office will get mine to me in time.

Has the date passed? Are you sure? I'm going to check with my bf on this one. He's got a Canadian passport since he got citizenship there at 16, isn't a US citizen, and goes there kinda often. If you don't need a passport, would you come out? You could stay at my place.

You can get a passport made in 3 hours. They make them that fast for people who can't miss a flight.

In the US, you can get an expedited passport in two weeks. There is no way to get them in three hours, not these days. And I'm not sure what's done in Canada. I'll ask Nickolay.

That would be awesome! The date is definitely passed, I believe it was January 23. I kept meaning to get my passport but I work at a startup and the pace is sort of... insane.

I should get on it, there are so many wicked web 2.0 conferences happening in the US this year, and that huge BarCamp in August looks sweeeeeet.

MacWorld was at a HUGE place. I don't think the restaurant can hold that many people legally.

Truthfully? Yes. Being a fan of something is a bad reason for it to be a big motivation for a huge life change.

I didnt say it was a big motivation, just one of the positive things about moving out that way. Im doing a self evaluation listing what the pros and cons for moving would be, Diggnation would be something neat to see live and sounds like there is a big tech scene there. I consider those positive points. I hope I still have a decent grasp on reality :rolleyes: ;) :D

Someone asked what the other positives were, I actually created another thread for that discussion.

No joke, I planned a short vacation to SF around the Diggnation taping date -- I'm already in town. The boss wasn't so ecstatic about the short notice (bought the plane tickets last week) but no matter, I'll be there.

Anybody know if they bring Diggnation shirts to the taping? The store was out of Medium and Large last I checked.

Well the last show they did at the Beach Chalet they threw out free shirts, but I think that was because it was their one year episode.

We need to have something to distinguish us from everybody. Like everyone on here who is going should bring a yellow post-it note and hold it up at a specific time so we can all gather together and say hi. I dano, it tried looking for some of you rev3 folks at MacWorld and just could find any one you. Anyone have a better idea? Hey Kevin + Alex, thanks a lot for doing another live S.F. show, I missed the last one! I had a blast, the sound system was a little whack, it should of been a little louder, and maybe get on a stage next time.. so people in the back can see you.
I got a diggnation shirt and a GoDaddy shirt and a Jpg zine, I had a blast thanks again.

I'm Tim, I shook your hands at the end of the show-- I'm old school, watched the SS all the time and turned on a bunch of people to it. </fanboy> I hope we get another live show in the bay area.

Follow up > Went to the show, it was cool, got three Diggnation t-shirts, JPG magazine, a pin, and pictures with Kevin and Alex. Was really crowded -- I was standing about 4 feet to Alex's right the whole time and still couldn't hear quite everything, but it was fun nonetheless. Plus I took my buddy Ryan and converted him into a new Digg evangelist. Bonus.

I don't remember seeing a redhead there -- AriaStar, where were ya in our shared 4-foot radius?
