Playback issues via VTuner's plugin for the Archos 605 Wi-Fi

I have an Archos 605 WiFi with all of the plugins, including Web TV and Radio (VTuner stream and podcast aggregator) and Video Podcast (H.264/AVC and AAC codecs). Through that interface, there are severe video problems on the Rev3 podcasts when I try to play the appropriate (Large MP4) version. IIRC, I've sideloaded them fine in the past though I usually use large Xvid for that. Some other MP4 based video podcasts (like TWiT's) work fine, while some error out for no apparent reason, including ones I've sideloaded successfully in the past. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it unfixable Archos quirkyness?
