View Full Version : My rev3 downloads and streams are getting slower

Right now Im downloading "layoffs" at 39.6 kb/s. I tried starting a simultaneous download from crankygeeks.com and was getting 600 kb/s from there. I have also noticed that when I want to watch the trs daily episodes I must pause the show and let it buffer for awhile. The time of day does not seem to make a difference. Could anyone hypothesize a reason for this?

YES! there are def. some playback issues on REV3. I never had to pause a video and let it load before.

yeah the downloads and streams are kinda slow. makes me a little sad.
Ditto on the downloads. I never download shows from the Revision3 site because of this.
It's pretty much fail.
iTunes is better......but Orbit downloader and youtube are a match made in heaven.

I stream the H.264 copy every week and I've never had an issue with speed. Never, not once, has it stopped and buffered - either in the past or recently.
Try downloading instead of streaming and see how it works for you.
I downloaded an episode of TRS today and it was pretty snappy.....so whatever issue some of us noticed may have been fixed.

Ever thought that you are downloading at an offpeak time? ie. not after diggnation is just released.

i watch on my PC and an epic 4g. Had no problems till about 1 month ago with streaming. Now it plays for 30 sec then stops for 10 to 20 sec and plays for another 30 sec. It repeats this cycle over and over. Speedtest.net gives me 10-21 mbps down. I have the same service as my mother, who lives 15 miles away in a different town. I have not had any problems watching on my epic there. Any ideas? I have disconnected the router, reset modem. Did a traceroute at both locations same amount of hops and very similar times, but slightly different routes.:confused:
