i can't believe this. i've had my macbook core duo for three months and the battery is kaput.

luckily, the apple support folks were great and are mailing me a replacement (or stealing my identity - i'm not sure. they did require me to give them a credit card number and charged me $1.00 to send me the new battery. in exchange, i promise to send them my old one. they then refund me my dollar.)

still, their tech support was about a billion times better than dell. and the kid actually spoke english. (which scares the crap out of me.)

Well at least it did not catch on fire. Also Apple>Dell any day in everything. I can run Linux Mac OS X and Windows on my macs, now if the prices where lower hopefully more people could be able to use macs.:D

got the new battery. seems to have fixed the problem. boy, the macbook is screwy without the battery.

hardest part of the whole exchange was finding a DHL box to drop the return box in.
