Who's seen it? Is it any good? How uncomfortable is it to watch?

it's terrible. it's as good as the director wanted it to be, it tells its message, and it does a good job of that, but it really is a story that just isn't worth telling. i'd say read a synopsis and know that there is one scene with cringe factor, and that aside from these things you will not get anything out of it. i say don't rent it. rent Saved! it's good. also, the Devil and Daniel Johnston just came out and i highly reccommend it.

It's not a total waste of time, so I say rent it. The acting is very good...it had to be since there are only 2 characters. Other than the scene involving the creepy briangilmore, it's not uncomfortable to watch.

I'm curious if you do watch it if the cringe factor carries over for women as bad as it does for dudes.

I thought the movie was interesting, but it's definatly one of those watch once and forget later films. It kind of pisses me off a little because I had a screenplay I was working on at one point that was slightly similar and I think I would have pulled off a better twist. :D

Havnt seen it but have wanted to for a pretty good time now...It looks like it will be fine, nothing great but still worth a netflix(or for me at least)

it's on dvd now dude. don't bother. i'm telling you, for those of you thought it was good, I"m telling you diela, don't watch it...you can but it'll be one of those movies that you don't hate, but you don't LOVE and wouldn't recommend. I call these "cardboard" movies b/c they're just cutouts of a movie format and are often indie movies that make an attempt at creating something with some emotionally impact, but end up making a melodramatic, not-believable crap that's pretty entertaining, and not all the way terrible, but instantly forgettable.

Although Hard Candy attempts to be very memorable, it is a film that is missing some kind of message beyond that of the obvious, "pedophiles are gross and wrong and little girls that take revenge on them are cool". Oh that and "they can torture people". This film has a great message good performances, but just isn't something you could talk about with someone and have taken enough out of it for it to have been worth your almost two hours.

Rent The Devil and Daniel Johnston, they came out on the same day. Either that or Born Into Brothels (and see how real people deal with little girls whoring themselves out in contructive ways that change the lives of victims).

i really liked the movie, however i paused it whenever anyone came into the room so i would have to tell them i was watching a movie about kiddy porn

This movie was ****ing awesome!
Beautifully directed, great story, and amazing acting. The little girl who played Kitty Pride in X-Men played the roll perfectly. One of the best movies i have seen this year.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

i loved it.

i thought the acting was great. kitty pride shows off her acting skills very nicely in it.

i loved the look of it. some of the shots were just awesome.

i just think it scared brian gilmore a lil too much for his own comfort. now when he picks up underage girls he will have a lil fear that she will go crazy on him. that's why he hates it.

Don't waste your time, see "Brick" That's a way better movie anyway.

I rented this the same time i rented Brick. Both are good films, but Hard Candy is better IMO, it really stays with you...
