Hey everyone, I`m new here. I`m an old ZDTV and TechTV fan and just now gotten around to checking out Revision3, I got part two of the CES episode of InDigital last night and love it! I wish I had started watching back when I first heard about it a loooong time ago.

Now, I have a quick question about the video quality. I have an Xbox with Xbox Mediacenter loaded on it and I use that to watch pretty much everything, and I like to get higher quality videos for it. I downloaded the Large Xvid torrent, because I figured it had better compression than the other videos but still had a larger file size so it must be the best quality. Am I right for thinking this? Or should I try something else? I couldn't seem to find a comparison of video quality anywhere on the site and I'm not that up on it in general.

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Disclaimer:

I know nothing of XBMC
I haven't done a side by side of all the codecs

That being said... I like the Large QT h.264 video. If the XBMC can play h.264 then that is the one I would choose simply because h.264, when started at a reasonable size (i.e. not the iPod video) can scale to full screen resolution on my laptop and still look like awesome.

I think the Large Xvid, WMV and H.264 are the best available. I've always thought they looked fine on a standard def TV display. Since your XBOX doesn't do HD, I'm not sure how having a higher resolution increase the quality. A higher bitrate would probably be nicer.

In any case, I'm all for an 720p torrentable versions of all programs.
