Pop quiz.

In 200 words or less, please tell the members of the forum why you should not be banned/suspended for spamming, and this thread deleted.

Hint - this is your elevator pitch. Communicate WHY kgmrradio is different and valuable to the gaming/online community.

2. Other Websites
2a. You may NOT advertise another competitor's website/forum/product/etc.
2b. You may plug or link to another website only if it doesn't break other rules.
2c. Do not spam your personal web sites or forums. You may link to them in your signature, but please limit them to there.

i quote directly from rules of conduct,

"Any post containing references (words/links/images/etc.) to a product or company that doesn't offer an overall benefit to the Revision3 community."

There must be gamers in the revision3 community, and this is benifitial to them, i dont have time to argue im not here to fight im not here to call people names and be in petty arguements. i just wanted to give out information to the people in the revision 3 communtiy who do care about this. if you didnt care you didnt need to post.

Actually, we don't care so YOU didn't need to post. And your wording sounds exactly like typical forum spam.

also this website does not compete with revision 3, revision 3 is a video, tech and other website, revision 3 does not offer a live radio feed for gamers. so it is not even on a plane with what the company does just what some of the viewers would like.

We take spam VERY seriously here.

Let highlight the right section of the TOS ...

Since you are not a bot, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt for the moment, but please prove to me why KGMRRadio is a benefit to the Rev3 community at large. What seperates you from other streaming audio sources?

i dont speak for kgmr radio i just posted about them, but i does not relate to the revision 3 community as a whole unless everyone in revision 3 is a gamer, so it relates to the population of revision 3 that are gamers.

Yes but WHY? Tell us why it is better then any other form of media that relates to games.

being new here myself, maybe i don't have the 'cred' to get into this. still it seems that be best way to handle this would be to contact a mod and let them decide

yeah i noticed after i posted that. i feel the mod in question should have pulled the thread and respond the the person in private. my opinion. i don't think mods should be engaging in public debate about it.

Since punksta90 was not a bot, I honestly wanted him to justify why he thought his post wasn't spam.

If one of the regulars had made the thread, it wouldn't have been a question, and this thread would have stayed open and the pro/cons of the site might have been discussed.

Problem is, punksta90 logged in and created an account with a single purpose - to advertise this site ... which makes it spam, but its also something that might be of interest to some members if he would actually post more than just a defence of why he didn't think it was spam.

If punksta90 doesn't want to respond, this thread will be deleted, and his account suspended.

punksta90, Dude give it up. If it doesn't have the Kevin Rose seal of all that is cool. Then it's pure crap and they don't want it posted here. So I wouldn't waste your time.

Oh and like I need to read a thread about someones new 50" tv? That is crap too. Can we delete that shit as well?

I think REV3 members need to lighten up a bit. Ok sure it's against the rules to post your site or anything that isn't REV3. We get that. But it seems the mods let there little buddies post pure crap like the TV threads and it seems fine. But then again this is the GENERAL area where anything goes but don't post anything non-rev3 because god forbid it may be something cooler then what is on REV3.

I mean is rev3 that scared that someone is gonna post another site or podcast or anything and take members away from here? GET REAL! Just because they might post on another site or board and enjoy another service or podcast doesn't mean they are shitting on REV3. SO is it REV3 or nothing at all? It's my internet and I will do with it what I want. REV3 doesn't control all the content on the net but the mods and users seem to make it that way.

THERE IS MORE TO THE INTERNET THEN REV3! as much as a shock it seems to some of you. Flame me, blast me, do whatever you want but LIGHTEN THE HELL UP!

You're COMPLETELY missing the point, this would not be an issue if the person at least had a few regular posts on the boards. His first post was ADVERTISING A SITE!

ah, i see why everyone was worked up i just used this account and browser the rev3 fourms and seince i didnt post anything before i posted this thread, it looked like i was either a bot or made the account to advertize.

well i was just trying to post about something cool and if i realized i would be ridiculed and yelled at for posting because ive read threads instead of posting, i would of never posted this.

Hey Matlock! That clause doesn't exclude your link-whoring. It only suggests an allowance that might be granted for behavior that is otherwise contrary to the forum code-of-conduct. nevertheless, it does not promise that allowance.

I believe that Token offered you an chance to apply for a waiver of banning and deletion.

If you're still reading this, you know I'm only joking....

We were not ridiculing you,

It's just, the usual pattern of a spammer is they create an account then spam something on their first post.

As I've said it before, we take spam very seriously here.

ah but if you report to the mod then do not reply in the thread, it goes away. one way of another. look at this thread. you thought it was spam and you started commenting on it and it's still at the top.
