A message from our CEO, Jim Louderback

As of Jan. 24th, we will no longer deliver our shows in XVID or the phone-sized WMV format. And we're also going to stop producing a 24 frames per second HD-class H.264 (aka MP4) format, although we'll continue to deliver a great looking 720p format at 30 frames per second. We feel your pain! No one likes to think that their hardware is becoming obsolete. But we've got good news for you Apple TV users. We're giving away 5 brand new ROKU XD set-top boxes, and offering everyone else a 10% discount on the Roku XDS, which brings the cost down to just 90 bucks. We think the Roku offers a great way to watch Revision3 content - and you can even buy a low-end Roku tht supports our HD feeds for as little as $60.

I use an old Compaq Pentium 4 desktop hooked up to my 42inch LCD TV for watching Revision3 in the living room. Would a picture of that qualify me for the contest?

really? so if you dont support apple that means your not welcome in this contest? and what happened to good shows like ROFL and Diggreel? I have found myself watching a lot less revision3 lately and find that very dissappointing as It has been my main source of entertainment since ditching my TV 2 years ago. Please dont forget there are non-apple fans out there and please get some good comedy back on the site!

I saw the Roku selling for list price at FRYS. No shipping costs.
The Pogoplug was selling for $69 and change on the web site.

So, this doesn't affect the new Apple TV 2g? It sure reads like it does. They didn't specify that it was for only ATV1, am I wrong?

I have Apple TV 2 with a 55inch, and we watch Revision 3 almost exclusively via ATV2, other than BluRay and Video Games.

Will this change affect Apple TV 2?

Yes, the 30fps HD format works with the new Apple TV - I tested it myself! It just won't work with the older one.

I never got a discount code. I never saw the announcement of this impending change on any of my feeds, either. Is there some kind of Internet black hole absorbing all Rev3 communications?
