If you have a 64-bit windows 7 laptop can you install windows 7 ultimate 32-bit on to the laptop? I won't to install windows 7 ultimate but I only have a 32 -bit copy can I install it. I would like to do a clean installment of windows 7. I love the show!

64 bit machines are 32bit compatible (even 16bit compatible). That is to say, 32bit and 64bit have been added on to 16bit support.

Let me get this right:
You have a Laptop that can run Windows 7 64bit and you want to install 32bit OS on it?
Then yes you can do it.

Or
You have Windows 7 64bit and want to upgrade to 32bit OS? Then in this case you can't. You will have to format the old OS.
