Yeah, that's bad.
You are dating the son of the owner? Bad. Very bad. All it takes is one person to say "she only got that because she's ****ing the bosses son...." etc, and you are a singled out and alone in a jungle of hostility.
Seriously, you don't shit where you eat!
Dr. Egon Spengler: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Dr. Peter Venkman: What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.

Could be a very bad thing or good depends on how your co workers take it.

You really don't need to date anyone from work, or anyone related to a supervisor at work.
Can't you find a guy not connected with your job? I mean damn, isn't this the second work related guy you've asked for advice on?

As long as both of you are mature, don't rush into things, and have each others best interest in heart (ie, if things don't work out you still wish them the best, and can remain cordial) you should be fine.
Do it only if you want your work life more complicated.

update: He came and got me for work this morning since he has a 4 wheel drive. For the last week since he got my number, he has been texting me a lot like 100 or so in 3 days, well today i didn't get a single text from him. The rumors are rampant all over work, because people know he came and got me.
Well I think he forgot to come and get me to take me home, my boss had to drop me off at my dad's work, and i didn't even hear from the guy until we were already 5 minutes from work, and he called and asked what was up, i said my boss was dropping me off at my dad's work, and he says "okay that works" and that was the end of the conversation...
I'm thinking it's over already...

Yeah, best to just avoid work relationships altogether.
So 100 text in a day? Isn't that alot? I mean, I find texting on a phone kinda.....lame, so I'm not the expert. But 100 a day, isn't that kinda stalkerish freakish?

NO. Seriously, if something were to go wrong, the owner would side with his son. And even if the owner seems to be neutral, well, you're still likely to be passed over for promotions. And you don't want the appearance of nepotism.

My general policy was to never date a co-worker, someone younger, or someone who was already a friend. Because things can be bad if other co-workers find out and one of our jobs could be in jeopardy. Because younger guys can be immature. Because I don't want to risk losing a friendship.
Guess what.
I'm dating a younger co-worker who was a friend first, and this has, so far, been the best relationship I've ever had.

Step-son, son, doesn't matter. You'd still have the appearance of nepotism and have a hard time if things got messy.

It can be tricky though. Nickolay and I have each other's best interests at heart, but if things get icky? There's no way of knowing how a break-up could occur, and you'd want it as far from work as possible.

I found out the problem, my phone is broke, i thought he hadn't been texting me all day, apparently my phone is not sending or receiving texts (I verified by sending myself some from the web and from my dad's cell) I just got off the phone with him, and he asked me to dinner before the show we're going to on Saturday (Larry the Cable Guy).
I guess he called because he hadn't heard from me all day.
Oh and Aria, i'm 25 and he's 24.

If he weren't in any way connected to the owner or a superior of yours, instead just another co-worker, I'd say to gradually step in, but as he's connected, even if he doesn't work there, it's a BAD idea.

ha ha, i'm actually handing over a lot of my responsibilities because they want me doing other things, I was in charge of the shop like a couple months after I started, everyone knows that he just broke up with his girlfriend in October, which was my year anniversary with the company...all the stuff i'm currently in charge of, i've been in charge of since the first couple months and everyone knows that :) His cousin (who is one of the dock shift supervisors) actually was the one that fixed us up.
