Please Bring Back WMV's

I View all my Podcasts on my 360 Media centers throughout my home and I loved that the Revision3 Videos were available in WMV. Please Bring it back.

I am Using 360 so Current Transcode Solutions do not work yet. I get errors with Transcopde 360.

Users with Video Support Preinstalled
Quiktime 10%
Theora- ??? Maybe 2%
WMV- The Rest of us

PLease No anti Windows Flames I love Macs and Run Ubuntu on my laptop.. (I just like Creating my Own TechTV Channel on my Media Center and not have to convert the files.) I Donate monthly to Revision3 since I know how hard it is to render and Supply bandwidth for all these formats.

Here's Hahn on the issue.
Let me find out. I know it's encoded on a different system and the show went up early at my request. Probably just didn't get to it with all the shows coming out at the same time.

I too really want a WMV format. It's not my favorite format, but it works really well to watch on my XBox 360. I have yet to find decent software to convert files to WMV.

I agree, having Indigital episodes available in WMV (especially via RSS) is ideal with the Xbox 360.

Hopefully you will continue to make episodes available in WMV as many of us Xbox 360 owners will miss it.

Heck, I'll pay cash-per-download to get InDigital in HD WMV format for my XBOX 360. They should consider releasing it throuo XBOX live marketplace in that format.

Since I like WMP11 (yes you heard right) I prefer WMV files.

I watch all my podcasts on WMP11 except for rev3 because they don't offer it..be nice when they do.

I deinstalled WMP11. It broke Windows Media Connect and my XBOX360 file sharing wouldn't work any more. I wish those MS butt-holes could get something right for a change.

Really! Somebody gave me one, and I kind of like it. Was pretty bummed to find episode 12 didn't have the WMV availalble.

I too miss the WMV's for streaming to my 360, and until I can figure out how to FF and RW non WMV's on TVersity I gotta use the WMV's. Please please bring them back.

There's no plans to discontinue the WMV format. I'm still waiting to hear what happened, but I'm sure there's a reason it wasn't encoded this time round. Probably a time issue.

No problem...one of the guys was on vacation, but it looks like he's back and took care of it. Probably the wrong thread, but the Xvid is fixed too.

Every time I see the title of this thread, I think WMDs, and then realize that Bush has succeeded in causing some sort of subconscious paranoia that causes me to always be looking for WMDs and being convinced they're there when they aren't.
