There has always been the proverbial man behind the scenes. Most franchises also have a face. “The Face of the Network” or “The Face of the Show”. It’s not often that the man behind the scenes is also “The Face Behind the Scenes”. Diggnation‘s man behind the scenes is Hippie Glenn, and to fans of Diggnation, the cameraman has become as recognizable as the hosts.

:\ I thought the show was about food.

Didn't really care for it at all, it wasn't even in HD and he's the camera guy!

What? I dont think I am artsy enough to understand that.

Glen is real fun in his other videos I have seen. Will keep subscribing for one or two more videos to see where this is going. You can do better glen.

Glenn, we love you, but if a web show doesn't have a theme, then it's not a web show, it's a videoblog. And I hate videoblogs.

Well, I fucking loved it. I would like to see 15 minutes or so per episode.

Hey Cooper - where were you having issues with the HD? Maybe the player was somehow set to "low quality" instead of HD.

In any case, here's the HD file -

Read on a blog post that this would be incorporated into a revived version of the Rev3 Gazette. Is that still happening?

Watching it right now. What in the fuck am I watching?

What the fuck indeed.

Glenn is really likable and there is potential in this persona he's established, but a weekly show about nothing is not the place for it. I could totally see him in a Web Zeros type of show. We don't need more informational web shows we need more scripted ones.

I disagree; I think he'd be able to do it, but this particular execution is not cool at all. A 1 minute ad and 3 minutes of shit is just not something I was expecting from such acool videographer.

My thoughts EXACTLY. I guess this might be cool if you were completely tripping balls, but to the normal watchers on diggnation (and most other shows here) it just makes no sense at all.

I'll be giving it one or two more episodes, but probably won't be watching.

I actually liked it. I got the humor of it and I think that is what he was going for.

Glenn you should have heard them badmouth diggnation in the early days.

KEEP GOING!
Love the show liked the diggnation interview and the Limitless zoom technique. You have a large fan following via diggnation

This hardly happened. Diggnation was extremely popular from the beginning.

I was referring to PRE diggnation when the show was first announced and we we all anticipating it. SOO MANY thought it was a lame idea [ironically much like the ipad] but YEAH .. once it aired, diggnation was a hit.

Guess that makes my example suddenly NOT apply to Glenn. facepalm

But still!

The editing is jarring and unsettling making the show hard to follow skipping around... very disjointed.
Still waiting because I really enjoyed Glenn in Diggnation, but so far I am still not with it. I agree with what others posted it needs to be more than just a videoblog and dance around. I think if I don't see some direction in the next few episodes and ESPECIALLY the disjointed editing I might unsubscribe and just check in much later.

Come on hippie Glen, get your groove!

I find the interjected thoughts and randomness one of its best attributes, its not a rehearsed/scripted production. I like cool people free-balling it... not stuck into the in "Block 1 I'll do (talk about) this and then block 2 then ads) production sequence. I think many are just so used to the commercial "production" format that something different throws them off. I find the times the battery dies and he comes right back w/ a "shit battery died" comment appealing... instead of editing it out and re taping w/ a script.

But thats just me... your preferences may vary.

Glenn -- WTF? "Stupid Twitter & Instagram habits" - camera is focused on the background, you two dudes are blurry??? C'mon.

IMO - if you want a following, if you keep it going on a regular basis (promptly release a new episode the same time each week), this show will be a success. Also, if you can't keep it to at least 30 minutes, it isn't worth doing. I don't want another "quick" 5 minute show.

Good luck!

Hi guys,

I have been watching the Diggnation remainders drama for a while, and while I was initially skeptical, I have grown to really love Glenn's Show. I think synthesizing the Glenn and Prager into one show is a huge mistake, at least a first that's what it seemed to me. Maybe it could work after a while, but it was AWKWARD!

What would be nice, is if the Glenns show show could be broken into separate parts where Glenn has a chance to do his thing and a Prager part and where he does diggnation type stuff or even his own thing. That might actually be kinda fun, and who knows, maybe you could add in more stuff too, but it should be under the rubric of a Hippie Glenn Toasted Donut setup. His personality lends real credibility to the show in my opinion.

Just one of the silent majority.

Rob

I like Glenn a lot. I dont care for the other two guys (no offense, they are nice but don't fit with Glenn). Glenn should find new co-hosts or go solo. Some of the first shows where he was interviewing the sound guy was excellent content IMHO.
