My wife and I are starting up a company making prescription 3D glasses for the cinema and passive 3D TVs.
We will be have two product lines. One will be available for either RealD/passive 3DTVs, Imax 3D (passive only - some IMAX 3D cinemas use active shutter glasses) and Dolby 3D. The other, more upmarket product will have interchangeable lenses allowing the user to use the glasses with all three systems and as well as sunglasses. We will be giving one pair of these to one person who completes a survey with a complete set of lenses - go to our website and click on the link from there. We plan to start selling in April. We even plan to sell anaglyph glasses later this year.
What do you all think of this? Also, how long will people have to wear 3D glasses for TVs and cinemas? I think maybe 2-3 years for resonably priced 3DTVs and 4-5 years for cinemas.
