First off, congratulations on a fantastic show! I really enjoy it, and it has inspired me to play around more with photo editing and graphics.
Problem is, I have found that the 17" LCD monitor I bought cheaply a couple of years ago just is not cutting it. It works fine for gaming, but not so well for PS work. I have tried to calibrate it, but did not have much success in getting the printouts (from an Epson RX500) looking like what I am seeing on the screen. Plus, I would like to step up a notch in size, to something in the 19"-21" range, depending on price.
After a bit of research, I have gotten the impression that many LCD displays are just not very good at reproducing color accurately. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced monitor suitable for this type of work? I do not see myself ever taking this up professionally, so I don't need top of the line equipment, although if someone wants to send me a Cintiq, I'll use it! :D
Alternatively, if you know of any particular websites or forums where the "experts" discuss this sort of thing where I can go to do more research and continue to educate myself about the available options, that would be greatly appreciated also!
Thanks in advance, and Bert, keep up the great work!
