So the quaility isn't the best, but it gives you an idea of what I sit infront of in my living room. :)

It was time to replace the old Dell e510 3.4Ghz HT and trade up to a true multi-core system. It started with a Great deal from HP on the base Quad Core system for under $700 (If you remember my last coupon deal). I did some upgrades from that base configuration and in total cost for the computer I still have less than $1400 in is, which does both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD playback. This is the system that drives my Panasonic Flat Panel. Here are the specs...

HP Pavilion Elite m9000t

Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (2.4GHz)
4GB DDR2-667MHz dual channel SDRAM
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT
1x320GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
2x750GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
Intel ICH SATA Raid Controller
2 Port SATA to eSATA Conversion Kit
HP LightScribe 16x DVD+/-R/RW Drive
LiteON Blu-ray DVD Rom
Microsoft Xbox360 HD-DVD Player (USB)
15-in-1 Memory Card Reader
PCIe ATSC-NTSC TV/FM (ViXS PureTV)
PCI ATSC-NTSC TV/FM (Pinnacle PCTV)
Realtek Hi-Def 7.1 Channel Sound (SPDIF)
Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Adapter
Front Panel Audio/USB/Firewire
HP/Microsoft Media Center Keyboard/Remote
Microsoft Wireless Mouse/Keyboard combo
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (32-bit)

I don't have a pic but I'm using 2 macs and can't see myself ever going back to Windows. One is a Mini I use for quick A/V editing in iMovie and Garageband and media streaming. The other is a White MacBook that I upgraded to 2GBs of Ram and put a 250GB hard drive in. Wishing I could afford a MacBook Pro for the graphics card, but other than that, the MacBook does great with Final Cut Express and Logic Express.

I do not have any fancy smancy machines (in fact, none of them can run ms windose vista or apple os/x 10.4.9), but I do have quite a few computers that I acquired cheap or free. As an example, I bought an imac for twenty dollars and promptly installed gnu/debian linux for my daughter's use. I have a few pc's being used for everything from dd-wrt to desktops and servers all mostly running linux. For the business I have an amd duron 800mhz running k12ltsp (fedora core 5 linux) server pushing 4 thin clients (3 compaq t30's and one neoware eon). At home, the personal machines I use the most are a homebuilt clone amd 1.5 desktop, an nslu2 running gnu/debian as a main file server, and a Dell GX1as an internal family media, web, email, irc, and etc server.
