last night at a dance rehearsal we were choreographing this one song and we do this shoulder move thing and I giggled and said, "looks like we're firing our robotitties" that didn't go over so well... never have I wished to have one of my Dromies in the room more than in that moment!

if i was there, i probably would have had an uncontrollable fit of laughter... and then you would start laughing and then everyone would start laughing because you know how contagious those are...

on a side note, I saw Cossi Fan Tutti and wanted to tell you that it was amazing! The most light hearted opera I've ever seen... funny all the way through. Also the new Opera house they built here is really stunning and has amzing sound. Having a hell of a time getting a tracker set up for a bittorrent of my movie.

So I get up this morning around 6 and wander out to my computer, and I see that it's turned off. I'm like "WTF?" cause I always leave it on.... boot it up, and I get this shiny, previously unseen splash screen that says "PC was powered down to prevent an overheating incident".

So I power down and open up the case, and instead of the case side fan, there's a little knob with copper brushes sitting there exposed. A little more exploration and I find the fan blade sitting in the bottom of the case.

I am actually sorry I missed seeing the fan blade go whirring off into the case like a pinball.

The PC is obviously fine, just the sensor doing its job. There are still two fans whirring away in addition to the CPU fan. But I did visit NewEgg first thing to order new fans.

Freaky start to a freaky day.

So I got a phone call this morning from some lady saying that some Republican candidate wants to give me a "Leadership Award" . For the tune of 2 grand. I ask her where she got my number and she said well is this 6foot12? (side note 6foot12.com is a site I started and put my number down in the contact info) I said yes but it's just a website not a business. Then I pushed her harder on where she got the number. Well I'm not sure. Then I went on a rant about how the only link between the number and 6foot12 is the whois database. And it's a federal crime to use the whois database for any reason aside from official business like buying the domain. I think I scared the shit out of her cause she hung up.

Taking a load of washing downstairs to thow in the machine, I tweaked my ankle - not enough to sprain it, but enough to make it painful to walk. Its going to be fun schlepping gear through customs, and standing around a booth for a couple of days with a bung ankle :(

I hope strapping it up will work for me.

You know, I hate taking medications or drugs of any kind... I'll even procrastinate on cold meds.

But after I had surgery, and they MADE me take some, I was like "WTF have I been thinking? This is great!" Living without pain is so much better than living WITH it.

And no nasty addictions afterward.

Guys, no matter what your dads or football coaches tell you, you can acknowledge that you have pain and STILL be a man. No sense causing permanent injury by not getting help when you break something.

I guess that Mr. Sizemore used to live in the apartment that my friend currently lives, and has been making annual visits to it since 1997. i actually saw a thing once talking about how the future theaters will have vending machines that after you see a movie in theaters you can go to the lobby and it can burn it onto a disc for you. the price of it would get cheaper and cheaper the longer it is out. that could be cool. but i am sure i will make a lot of impulse purchases that way.

You know, it hardly pays to go to the theaters anymore. Personally, I only go if it's something I want to see right now, or if I'm taking my daughter for a night out, or it's something that needs to be seen on a big screen...but I'm getting a 51-inch next week so my trips to the noisy theater will be even fewer.
