Anyone a fan of it and what kind?

They should do a show about making something really spicy if they ever get around to doing more shows. :D

Anyone a fan of it and what kind?I am a huge fan of Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce (http://www.tabasco.com/tabasco_tent/pepper_sauce/garlic_pepper_sauce.cfm). I have only ever found it in New Orleans, but I am sure I could dig a bottle up in a local specialty supemarket. Its not a "OMG!!! IT BLEW MY ****ING BRAINS OUT" heat, but carries a lot of flavour.

To quote the Tabasco Web siteTABASCOŽ brand Garlic Pepper Sauce has a Scoville Unit Rating of 1200 - 1800, which means it's zesty with a medium heat level. So it's hotter than TABASCOŽ brand Green Pepper Sauce, but milder than original TABASCOŽ brand Pepper Sauce.

I am also a fan of Joe's Stuff (http://shopping.nosoc.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=77) - an all purpose Cajun style seasoning (spice blend - not a sauce), that is awesome added to any beef sauce (lasagne, spahetti bolognese, or even taco beef) or stew. Again, only ever found it in N'Orleans.

i've always liked cock sauce (get your mind out of the gutter). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sriracha Its not for EVERYTHING, but its really good. and if you're on a budget i learned from the guys at the china food place to add half vinegar and half cock sauce and you will never taste the difference. twice the cock for your money.

I like Cholula hot sauce. It has a nice Mexican flavor to it. Good for anything remotely Hispanic.

My second is probably Frank's Red Hot for that more American buffalo wing flavor.

You can't go wrong with tobasco...

I like the sauce I got now one drop will heat something up nice. It's only about 200+ times hotter that tabasco.

My personal favorite can be picked up at most super markets in Southern California. Mezzetta Habanero Twist and Shout. I remember the first time I had it I totally over did it and struggled to stop my mouth from burning. Now it is hard for me to find anything that is considered hot. I go through a bottle of Habanero faster than ketchup(pretty much replaces ketchup now). If you looking for a wide variety of hot sauces I suggest checking out Hot Licks in Sea Port Village in San Diego, CA. I highly suggest visiting if you can they let you taste test the sauces before you buy. If you are not in the area then check out the website and see if you can find the hot sauce that can bring you to your knees. http://www.2hotlicks.com/ I tried the Ring of Fire Xtra Hot not bad, but wasn't all to hot.

Since a habanero is only rated about 100,000 - 300,000 SHUs the sauce is hot compared to tabasco's 2500-5000 SHU. The sauce I got is 1,000,000 SHU so it's a tad hotter than habanero.
Can get it here https://protected.fatcow.com/pepperpalace/index_2006.html

Sriracha scores about 2k on the scoville's scale... Tabasco : 2.5k - 5k... IMO Sriracha is hotter than Tabasco.... no ?

The chiles in the sauce might affect more of your tastebuds than Tabasco so it seems hotter or something. I have a bottle of Habanero sauce and I don't find it that hot but I have some Jalapeņo sauce it seems hotter for some reason even though I know its not.

Right now THIS (http://www.hotsauceblog.com/hotsaucearchives/blues-bbq-habanero-reserve-collectors-edition/)is my favorite sauce. I also want to try THIS, (http://www.hotsauceblog.com/hotsaucearchives/naga-morich-snake-bite-hot-sauces/) the naga pepper is supposed to blow the hab out of the water for heat. This pepper review blog is a good site. You can also check out www.thehotpepper.com (http://www.thehotpepper.com)

I have some Blairs original death sauce, and it is pretty good, although not really super hot. Dave's Insanity Sauce is crazy hot, I use it by the toothpick tip full. I don't really have much use for "extract sauces" per say. They are really only good for their wow factor.

The warning says it should only be used for display or experiments. A sauce at 1mil SHU is hot enough for me. A single drop is all it takes to heat something up 3-5 if ya like it real hot though as I said you may regret it later because it burns coming out.

Man you guys are nucking futs. I like hot sauce for a little heat but mostly flavor. I like to take my food. Not burn my taste buds off. I don't like "mild" hot sauces. I like hot sauce. But holy SHEET man. 1 mil. That is PURE capsaicin. Jesus. You have to be a thrill seeking junk for that. I am too much of a puss to even think about trying that crap. It probably could either cure cancer or AIDs.

Its good and not a thrill seeker I just like. Pure cap. is 16mil which would probably kill you if ya eat something with it. I plan on making some beef jerky with my 1mil sauce.

Most of this stuff sounds pretty stupid. 1 Mil is just a gut check, not food.

I like "Franks' Red Hot Sauce". Yes the original hot sauce used for Buffalo Wings. So good it has my name on it. It has some heat but has so much flavor that it adds to any food.

If you look for gift packages around the holidays. You can find a four pack (I forget the brand) of sauces that all are fantastic. One Green, One Habanero yellow type. Again all are great.

I have had habaneros before. I like their flavor as well and they arent as scary on the heat as people believe. One time in my usual hang out, someone was talking about how the cooks had challenged each other with the fresh peppers. I mentioned I had tried it before so they brought me one. I just grabbed the stem and bit the whole thing. Chewed slowly enjoying the taste and that was it. I said they tasted better than the heat. They said I must be retarded. Only problem with hot peppers come out of the "back end". Otherwise I would eat more. I do have some common sense and self control.

Nothing wrong with the 1mil bottle long as ya don't over use it. It add heats and not really any flavor at all. I got one of the gift things it has Habanero sauce, Jalapeno sauce, Cayenne sauce, and Chipotle sauce.

Pure Capsaicin--is not really a sauce, per se. It is puirfied heat-- and comes with a warning label.

What I was talking about was a habanero mixed with pure like the sauce I have now which is rated over 1 million S. Heat Units. I know pure isn't really a sauce since it is basically a crystal in pure form. Though officially it considered sauce since it holds the recorded for hottest sauce in the world at 16 million SHU. The guy I got my sauce from has a bottle of pure and he has scars on his legs where he dropped some on his legs. That warning label says for display purposes only. :D
