Great show, guys.

I picked up Robin 159 at the last minute before I hit the register, and I'm really glad I did.

What did you guys think of The Spirit #3 and the New Avengers: Illuminati: Hamburger Helper Glove of Doom?

Both were awesome.

We just ran out of time.

Civil War strikes again.

I really liked the very balanced approach you guys took to Civil War actually. You, like many others, were disappointed, but you didn't just rail at it. Rather you saw good and bad, and pointed out both. I think Ron was right in saying that it was simply an overreach (as Marvel is wont to do).

Thanks for being rational.

(No, I don't work for Marvel, and I was disappointed too, but after a while, all the vitriol is just crazy. It wasn't great, maybe not even good, but it wasn't crap either.)

This was one of my favorite episodes in a while; when you guys are on, you're on.

Josh, I meant to ask: are you a recent convert to Robin, or have you been reading it for a while? It puts your zeal for the book into context a bit more.

As for the over-use of "awesome," I'm not sure how seriously I'd take eloquence criticism from someone who uses the phrase "by golly."

I was a recent convert. I started at One Year Later, when I bought at least one of most of the titles coming out. Of them, I'm only still reading a few. Back in the Chuck Dixon days when Rucka was on Detective, I read Robin and Nightwing for a year or so, but I don't have a history with them. Not like Conor or anything, so I'd mostly consider myself a new recruit.

Great episode guys. Didn't expect the time travel. Did you meet yourselves at the Con?

Great show, guys.

the New Avengers: Illuminati: Hamburger Helper Glove of Doom?

I’ll fly the newbie flag here, but where in the timeline does this take place? Post Infinity Gauntlet or War? I didn’t recall each of them getting a jewel in those series. I skimmed the book, so I possibly didn’t pick up on details they noted in the book.

Great show. Loved the ASM 538 discussion. Any non-Ultimate Spidey is a horrible mess.

Luckily Denny wasn't embalmed when he died. Otherwise Spirit #3 wouldn't of been nearly as pleasant.

I had the same thought.

I believe that right at the begining of the comic it notes that it takes place a few months ago, comic time.

I just have to say a thanks. I stopped reading Robin a looooong time ago. And Wednesday when i picked up my books, i thought to pick up the latest Robin. I also glanced some back issues. I ended up leaving with 4 Robin issues. I plan on adding it to my monthly pickups. Thanx for the info on the latest in Robin. It seems to be a great book.

I actually picked up the first TeeN Titans trade because I liked Robin so much and it's good. Not done with it yet, but close.

I actually also enjoyed Robin #156,The girl he later goes on a date kisses him(because she's glad he's alive) then Storms off. He feels extremely guilty about the Dodge situation. And he calls Dick at his job(i'm guessing as a suicide counselor). The book has actual real depth. I'm glad i decide to jump on the band wagon. I've read alot of DC books but none have really felt as good to read as this one.
