Here's what's this month's Wizard has in it. Remember, it's the April Issue so there may be some false stories in here.

* Discussion of the impact of event books on the big two.

*Article on DCs Countown with a photo that's being discussed in another thread.

*Sketchbook for Marvel's Annihilation: Conquest. The Star-Lord design is fantastic. Also nice are designs for characters The Wraith and the new Quasar, a female (Phylla-Vell, the late new Captain Marvel's sister).

*Short interview with Gerard Butler, star of 300.

*Six-page preview of JMS/Quesada on Spider-Man. Pete's marriage will be addressed.

*The history of Black Lightning, including a beef between BL creator Tony Isabella and Judd Winick of the latter's handling of the character.

*Feature on the Buffy comic.

*Eric Powell (The Goon) Superman sketches for a 3-issue arc in Action.

*Marc Silvestri sketchbook for his Dynamic Comics.

*Article on the TMNT movie.

*Article on Shrek 3 vs. Pirates 3 vs. Spider-Man 3.

*Interview with Topher Grace.

*Interview with Gene Simmons on his comic line.

*50 Ways Civil War Will Change the MU.

*Article on Darwyn Cooke.

*Marvel Edge supplement in the back featuring Strangers In Paradise.

Thanks for the summary, Horatio. This is the first month in a long time that I have not gotten Wizard. Giving it up for more $$ comics.

Is the Darwyn Cooke article any good?

Only had a chance to skim it, but it's a total of 5 pages, 4 of it text. There are pics of New Frontier, Catwoman, and The Spirit sprinkled in.

The Strangers in Paradise article is two text-heavy pages and 39 other independent titles are given blurbs.

I think Eric Powell is a bad decision to draw superman. I love his art, but all the Marvel stuff Ive seen him draw dosent sit well with me. I think he is more suited to drawing his own stories, and he writes them so well its a shame he dosnt do it more often. I know a lot of people who really like his art and I consider myself a fan aswell, but he has gotten so popular that he is going to draw Action now? And we saw 4 issues of the Goon last year? What a damn shame.

I wonder what "Peter's marriage will be addressed" means. I know Joe Q. does not seem to be a fan of Peter being married...wonder if there is a divorce in the works?

Isn't the JMS/JQ series One More Day set in the future? I don't think it's in-continuity in either event.
